Kirishima Ryuusuke was a person who terrorized the nation. A man whose acquaintance could only be defined by crime sprees and destruction, he never murdered a person; everything was a request made by his friend, Hiroki. Little did anyone know, Hiroki was not a friend but a manipulative adversary, a man of the highly influential crime syndicate Rokize. Ordered by his boss to keep close and taking full advantage of Ryuusuke's strength and agility to their fullest, Hiroki preyed on Ryuusuke's loneliness- something he had when filling the void left by family and loved ones lost early in his youth to syndicates.
One day, he stumbles upon Hiroki talking to his superior where Hiroki boasts of the fact that he used Ryuusuke for his advantage. Being betrayed and broken down, Ryuusuke unleashed his fury and vowed to purify every crime group that he was affiliated with. His rampage brought destruction within the underworld, and fearing for his actions, the syndicates came up with a plan: they would use Hiroki as a trap for him.
When Ryuusuke confronted Hiroki, the latter played the victim, portraying himself as a person who had been used by the syndicate also. "I just wanted to protect you," Hiroki implored. "I did not want you to die.".
Ryuusuke lowered his guard the last time he trusted Hiroki. But when he stepped closer, Hiroki stabbed him through his heart. Ryuusuke fell down and spilled blood from his chest; he saw the devilish smile of Hiroki and realized too late that he was nothing more than a pawn. Betrayed and broken, he came up with his last wish, muttering, "I wish I could live a happier life in my next life.".
In the white room, Ryuusuke heard that darkness was fast closing in, when a ray of light came in the form of the God of Rebirth and Death, Mykonos. Clad in a golden aura with divine wisdom in his eyes, Mykonos offered him a second chance, a world of magic and swords, where he shall no longer be a puppet.
Blessed with the elemental power, Ryuusuke was born again as the eldest son of the Lower-Ranked noble Ainsworth family. His mother lovingly named him Ryuzen, and that's how a new life was put to new beginnings.
