I look at the door where my cousin, Gail closes as she go after with Cleo. I didn't notice that she's there beside Gail as I happily entertain my friend way back in high school. Good thing I still remember him, but how come I cannot remember her.
Who is she in my life before my accident happened?
" You okay Zaynie?" Harvey asked as he noticed me zoning out.
I nodded at him because I suddenly felt like not in the mood as Cleo walks out without talking to me.
I was even shock earlier when she said that she's my girlfriend, I mean is she really? Being in a relationship with a woman is really not in my vocabulary. But I think she's just a friend of mine, like she did agree earlier about it.
Since that day happened, she didn't pay any visit to me. I would asked Gail about it and she will just said that Cleo is busy. As days passed that I am here at the hospital, I gradually forgot about her.
I stayed in the hospital for another week because the doctor needs to further run some test. I would say it was really boring because all I could was resting and nothing more. Harvey on the other hand, go back to the states because their class is starting already, but we keep in touch through messages.
I'm now here inside my office in the University, good thing I still kinda remembered that I am the Student Council President and Gail was able to remind me. Many students greeted me earlier and I just choose to ignored them. I look at my wrist watch to look at the time and saw it already lunchtime. My first class for today is still later afternoon so I still have time to do such things.
I get up and gather my things, when someone knock on the door. I look at it for a sec before walking towards the door. As I open it, I saw Cleo with a small smile plastered on her face.
" yes, you need anything?" I asked looking at her coldly
She cleared her throat before speaking and raises the bag she's holding that I didn't notice at first.
" lunchtime na." she said then enter my office just like that.
No wonder she's my cousin's best friend, their behaviour is the same.
I sigh as I couldn't do anything since she's already sitting on the couch, taking out the food. I close the door and walk towards her and sit not to close to her.
" I cook adobo for you."
The offer me the plate and utensils, I didn't argue since I am hungry and it's my favourite dish.
" are you bored and you just randomly barging in my office?" I suddenly then eat my food.
I waited for to speak as she fastly munch the food on her mouth and swallow it.
" I'm not bored, just used to it. We are always eat together here in the University. " she said then playfully winks at me.
My forehead knotted after giving me a wink, the hell!
" why tho?" I asked her.
I think there's no such important reason for us to each lunch together, I mean we're just friends.
" kasi girlfriend nga kita, to naman parang di nag grade 2."
I rolled my eyes after hearing her words, always insisting that thingy huh
" correction girl friend with space." I said then roll my eyes at her.
" attitude na sya ah" she mumbled something but I couldn't hear it.
" what are you mumbling?" I said confusingly.
" wala sabi ko with space nga." she said justifying her reasons.
I rolled my eyes again and just continue eating, good thing she didn't talk to much and just silently eating our food.
Miss Maggie Yale called me to her office all of a sudden that why I am walking faster. Many students were watching and eyeing on me maybe because I've been absent and people don't know what was the reason, or just so I thought.
I knock the door to her office and heard her to let me come in. I saw Miss Maggie on her swivel chair and she's kinda busy with the paper works, I wonder if where is Miss Astra.
" Zayn Lopez have a seat." she said professionally.
I sat down on the seat infront of her and give my full attention to her. Miss Maggie is really a nice and kind Professor here, but I am more close to Miss Astra and I don't know why.
" How are you Ms. Lopez? I already knew what happened to you." she asked me
How did she knew? Maybe Gail said it to her.
" I'm good Miss Maggie, just having a hard time since I got out the from the hospital, but I still remember some stuff about my life." I said making her nodded.
" okay and at what part of your life that you cannot remember? " she asked.
I suddenly got stunned by her question that me think for a bit. My memory starts to get blurry after I graduated in senior high, some of it is I can't remember and some if I still remembered just like being an SC President in this university.
" some of my memories back in First year college is kinda bit of blurry, but I still remembered some of em' and other stuff is still blurry and that made me confused." I said honestly.
She then look at me intently making me more confused.
" How are you and your girlfriend? "
Why does everybody asked me about my girlfriend? I don't even have one and I would never be having a girlfriend.
" girlfriend Miss? " I asked her again to clarify it.
She nodded at me.
" yeah girlfriend.."
I shook my head to her before speaking.
" I don't have one Miss." I said as disgusting expression is written on my face
Miss Maggie look shock by hearing my words that makes more intrigue by it.
" so you don't remember her, gosh. " she mumbled but I can't hear her clearly.
I raises my eyes brows at her but she just shook her head and smile at me.
Girlfriend? Nah, I don't want it and I don't like it!
