I'm full of hate
I'm full of disgust
I'm full of pain
I'm full of lust

As we turned the corner next to the old broken corner ice cream store that is surprisingly in business still and has been there since I was little, we arrived on my street. The street I had live on since forever. I lived in a little neighborhood with a population of like 200, that was full of old people barking dogs and bigger houses nothing fancy just enough for me and my dad and my brother Lucas. My mom doesn't live with us because she passed away when I was about 5. She died in a plane crash, that was pretty tragic. She was on her way to New York for "business" she called it but we all actually knew what she was doing. As we were driving Cody reached over and slowly slid his hand across the top of my leg and put his hand on my inner thigh and squeezed. As he did I jolted up in my seat a little caught off guard and I could tell by the smirk that was written on Cody's beautifully chiseled face he enjoyed the response that he got from me.

When we pulled into my crappy little drive way swerving away from the basketball hoop. All I could see the black SUV of the up beat peppy soccer mom my dad has decided to "take in" I called it. My dad sometimes gets on this I need a girlfriend kick and always finds these divorced moms who end up always not being the one. When the car finally pulls to a stop Cody removes his hand from my thigh but not before giving it a good squeeze agin but this time not receiving an response because I was expecting it. When he removes his hand I look slowly over to him. "This is the last place I want to be" I say with a deep sigh preparing myself to walk in and be a fake good child so I don't embarrass my father in front of his new fling. "It possibly couldn't be that bad." Cody replies. But little did he know this was bad.

I reached out for the handle and as I was about to get out of the car. A tapping on the window by Cody's head sent him in to a panic and he whipped around to see what it was, clutching his heart as he did. I started laughing but when I realized who it was I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks. There he was my dad with a smile on his annoying face and his bitch on his arm. When Cody started to roll down the window my dad put his hands on top of the window to make sure it didn't get rolled back up. When my dad finally said hi to Cody he turned and looked at me, making the heat in my cheeks worse, I could tell that my face was the brightest shade of red, like he color of Cody's red vans he wore on his feet.

"Hey baby I didn't think you had a boyfriend." My dad said "and a cute one, that's actually a boy." My dads girlfriend pitched in. In this moment I wished I was dead, see here is the thing my mom was a nice woman who I loved with everything I had but she had bad habits, my dad on the other hand is a douche and a big one at that, to be completely honest I hate him and am only here cause I need money and a place to stay. After a few seconds I say "well you see this is Cody he's not my boyfriend he's a friend and he was just leaving." I reply sarcasm dropping off every word. In the background you could hear Brianna snorting and laughing, well her laugh is like a cackle it's ugly and embarrassing.

When Brianna is done snickering to herself my dad decides to make the whole situation even worse. "Well Cody, would you like to stay for dinner because it would be a pleasure to have you." My dad says getting closer to his face. Invading every inch of Cody's privacy its this test my dad does with every guy I have ever brought home. "We just came home from the store so you could help bec put up the groceries while I cook dinner." When he finished I slapped my hand over my face. "Dad you can't just invite guest to put up our groceries." I say clearly annoyed. "Well you can if they are gonna soon be around a lot might as well not wean him into it." He replied still staring Cody down.

I could tell Cody felt very uncomfortable because he had moved back from the window almost out of his seat and was shaking his leg and playing with the purity ring found on his fingers. "It's ok I will help Bec I would be delighted." Cody said as if he had rehearsed that line and was read from a tele-prompt, every word spaced and forced. "Cody" I said as I put my hand on his "you really don't have to." I say trying to change his mind, but of course he didn't listen. "No no Bec really it's ok." He says and unbuckled his seat belt. Before I know it we are both walking through the front door and I can hear my dad and Brianna talking about us from behind.
