As the college day came to an end, I found myself taking out my things from my locker for retrieval. Jax had already left the college entrance. So I did my work alone.
As I left the entrance, I saw Jax talking with Selena, the popular girl with a stereotypical bitchy attitude. I was happy that he at least got someone to talk to rather than an impure woman like me. I smiled and continued on my way to my house.
As I walked, I heard Jax's manly voice shouting my name from behind. He quickly caught up to me as we walked together.
"Hey, so how was your day?", he asked, stuffing his hands in his pocket.
"Good. And yours?", I asked without glancing at him.
"Yes. It was cool", he replied with a tinge of nervousness in his voice. After that, there was no exchange of words between us as I silently walked along with him to my house. As I reached my home, I ushered the keys out of my backpack.
"Ok. So see you tomorrow Jax", I said smiling as I looked at him.
"Well...I guess...ok. Good night", he ushered, his voice sounding reluctant.
"Good night Jax". I smiled and looked into his eyes and quickly closed the door locking myself in. As I did so, the tears I have been holding in the whole day started falling endlessly. I knew I couldn't grow more attached to Jax. He doesn't deserve a used woman like me. The mere thought of that shook my soul but I had to comply"I wouldn't let myself get attached to Jax".
