In the vast savanah plains of the pridelands, resides King Sahasi and queen Ananda, rulers of the pridelands. As the sun rose over the plains, Baliyo sat on pride rock with his father, during one of his kingly lessons. "Look Baliyo."Sahasi said to his future king in training "Everything the light touches is part of our kingdom." Sahasi told him "Ruling it is a big responsibiliy, Baliyo. Thay's why when you are king..." Before he could finish, Rani, the princess, who is playing Babab Ball with bunga, her best friend, interrupt them.
Rani: Heads up! Incoming! (Fruit lands on Sahasi's head)
Baliyo: (Annoyed) Rani!
The chocolate brown lioness pushed past them
Rani: Oh ( Laughs nervously) Sorry dad. Me and bunga are playing Baobab Ball
Bunga: And Rani couldn't handle the pass!
Rani: What?! (She pushed the badger with her paw) A girrafe couldn't handle it! (Growls) You kicked it over my head!
Sahasi: Kids!
Bunga threw the fruit in the air, right pass Rani, jumping up to catch the fruit
Bunga: And you couldn't handle it!
Rani grinned mischeviously
Rani: Oh yeah? (Leaps over) Try to handle this!
The two of them fought, totally distracting Baliyo from his lessons
Sahasi: Kids! (Rani lets go of the fruit, Bunga flying
Bunga: Woah!
Rani retreat to her father's side, as Baliyo gave her the narrowed eyes
Sahasi: Rani. I need to talk to your brother. He will be tracking gazelles with his friend today
Baliyo: (Proudly) Because I am trained to be....
Rani cuts in, with a 'Know it all' look
Rani: King of the pridelands (Sarcastically) Yeah. Yeah. I know all about it, Baliyo
Baliyo: (scoffs) At least I have my lives firgured out *Eyes narrowed* What are you going to grow up to be, big sister?
Rani smiled as she taunted
Rani: Happy?
Sahasi, breaking their quarrel, pulled his daughter back
Sahasi: Okay you two. That's enough. Rani. How about you and Bunga go play some where else?
Bunga sped infront, holding out the fruit
Bunga: And I know the perfect place! Hey, Rani!
Bunga: (Sing-songed voice) You will never get the Baobab fruit. No
Rani leaped forward, smirking
Rani: Ha! You got nowhere to run, Bunga
Bunga: Says you! Zuka zama! (Jumps down)
Bunga: Catch me if you can, Rani!
Rani: Game on. Bunga! (Runs down)
Rani: See ya dad. Have fun tracking the gazelles, Baliyo. I gotta get Bunga!
Baliyo scoffed in annoyance
Baliyo: (Sighs) I can't believe we are related
Sahasi: Rani will grow up someday- I hope
