"Can we just stop arguing and get inside?" I plead while my hand rests on the passenger door handle. Madison, my girlfriend, and I were inside her car; outside of a starbucks not too far from our high school.

We just got together yesterday and already we were having issues. Her and I were in a situationship for three months before finally trying things out officially.

"Why won't you let me look at your phone? You're clearly hiding something from me." she huffs while turning off the ignition in her car; i let out a sigh. I was getting annoyed with the fact that I was beginning to sound like a broken record player.

"I told you my phone died during last period. I'd give it to you if it were charged or if you had a charger in your car." I answer while trying to keep my composure. Finally, her facial expression softened as if she fully understood what I have been trying to explain for the past five minutes.

"You're right, I'm sorry. I'm overreacting again, I just can't help it. You know how my trust issues affect me." she says while reaching out for my hand, giving it a small squeeze.

"Forgive me kiss?" she asks while leaning in close. While I did understand where she is coming from for being cautious with me, it was irritating for her to jump to conclusions and automatically assume something, especially when we had just got together the day before.

Leaning in to close the gap between us, we kiss for a moment before she pulls away with a playful grin. "C'mon lets go, I'm craving a refresher and a cake pop." I nodded before getting out of the car. Attempting to jog over and open the car door for her, she was already opening the door and speed walking over to the entrance of the coffee shop.

I internally shake my head while I enter the starbucks behind Madison. Turning my head to the side, I already see her greeting my friends, Dakota and Terrance.

"Hey guys, sorry if we kept you waiting." I apologize while looking at my friends/teammates as I pull a chair out for me to sit across side them. Dakota snickers in response, "No need to apologize romeo, Terri and I saw you guys liplocking when we started to complain." Terrance began to laugh. "It's not a big deal, Y/l/n. You want me to get you something?" he asks while looking over at my girlfriend who's eyeing the cake pops. "What about you maddie? Can I get you anything?"

Her eyes ponder over to the team captain and eagerly nods, "I was waiting for one of you to ask. I'd love something!" she squealed while pulling Terrance away from the table to the line to the register.

Leaving just me and Dakota at the table, she stifles out a snort and begins to laugh. I furrow my brows at her, "What's so funny?"

"She's such a spoiled brat." Kota says while I let out a huff in response, "Hey! That's my girlfriend you're talking about." She rolls her eyes in response. "She's your situationship. I don't get why you're trying to get with her."

"Actually, we made things official yesterday.. But we actually got into a fight before coming inside." I admit while looking at my fiddling thumbs. Dakota purses her lips together, hesitant with the next words to come out of her mouth, "Terri and I saw. We didn't wanna bring it up unless you did. What was it about?"

I chew on my lower lip, "She's just having a hard time trusting me. I get it y'know, its hard to trust someone, but I feel like I've constantly worked on earning her trust these past couple of months and it just feels like I've made no progess." I say while beginning to overlook these past couple of months. If it wasn't obvious enough, I was starting to question all this effort I was putting into this girl. I know I like her, but I don't need to put up with this.

"I'm sorry about that, but I mean look at it this way; this is the beginning of your relationship with her. Maybe she's just had bad experiences with trusting people in a relationship. Just give it some time. Maybe things will get better?" she advised while looking at me with sympathetic smile. It wasn't very often for Dakota to be so nice to me, since we've met, shes always had a tough exterior and a cold mouth. I began to chuckle slightly. "What?"
