The world beneath the sea is eternally mysterious and profound.

Above them, the ocean stretched out in shades of deep blue. Schools of fish swam freely above, along with other fantastical creatures unique to the world of cultivators.

Following the merfolk deeper into the ocean, the three travelers dove for nearly the time it would take an incense stick to burn.

The water-repelling pearl emitted a faint glow, forming a vast protective shield that separated them from the intimidating depths of the sea.

Holding the pearl, Yan Jue suddenly noticed something and froze in surprise. "Jiang, you..."

Jiang Mengchu was gliding effortlessly in the water, joyfully darting among the fish. A soft, golden aura surrounded her, allowing her to swim swiftly without any visible effort.

Jiang Mengchu said cheerfully, "Don't worry, Sister Yan Jue, I'm fine!"

Yan Jue was speechless.

So this is the power of the Supreme Spirit Physique... she thought, marveling at how Jiang's energy seemed endless.

Gradually, the number of fish around them grew. The deeper waters revealed a scene even more breathtaking than expected, crystal clear and vividly blue.

Before them appeared a grand, resplendent palace.

In the distance, a small black figure swam quickly toward them. Haiying's golden hair swayed with the currents, her porcelain skin shining through the blue waters. She wore the merfolk's customary attire, a simple top that left little to the imagination.

Qing Xianqing, by now accustomed to her appearance, nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

Still showing traces of exhaustion, Haiying smiled, though her fatigue was evident from her time above the surface. Although the court physician had administered several spirit-restoring pills, her strength wouldn't recover immediately.

Haiying quickly swam to them and offered a graceful bow. "I am forever indebted to the two immortals for their help. My father is waiting for you in the palace."

Entering the grand hall, they saw an elder seated on the throne—the aged king of the merfolk. Seated beside him was a striking young woman with clear, delicate features. She wore a blue robe tied with a bone flute at her waist.

Yan Jue couldn't shake the feeling that this young woman seemed familiar.

Upon seeing the two of them, the woman rose hurriedly and gave a respectful bow. "Greetings, fellow cultivators. I am Jiang Yu from the Valley of the Clear Wind."

Yan Jue quickly returned the greeting. Now she understood—the bone flute was a familiar weapon of the Valley of the Clear Wind.

But what was a disciple of the Valley doing here?

Jiang Yu hesitated, then said, "My senior, Mao, has caused you all trouble. On behalf of the Valley of the Clear Wind, I extend our apologies."

Yan Jue asked, "Senior Mao?"

"Perhaps you could clarify; I don't fully understand."

Jiang Yu frowned slightly and explained, "The man causing chaos in the fishing village was once a disciple of our sect."

"He lost his way, delving into ghost-summoning arts. Eventually, he severed ties with us and fled here. If you hadn't subdued him, I would have had to punish him myself on behalf of the sect."

Through Jiang Yu's explanation, Yan Jue learned that the Valley of the Clear Wind, one of the Six Great Immortal Sects, specialized in summoning techniques—summoning both righteous and wicked entities alike. However, an internal schism had occurred decades ago when some disciples secretly practiced ghost-summoning.
