Starr Gardner"Ayden what I told you about touching thing's that aren't yours?" I asked Ayden giving him the eye.
"Not to touch mommy" He said with pouty eyes. We were currently at the shoe store getting him a new pair of timberland boots because he messed up his other pair.
"Come over here." I told him indicating with my index finger. He sat beside me and tried on the shoe. They were a little too small. "Ma'am can we get these in a size 4.5?"
She nodded with a smile and took the box to the back. I looked over at Ayden and he looked at me with his big eyes and his always bubbly smile. He looks exactly like me in so many ways. "Mommy"
"Yes baby?"
"When is daddy coming home?" He asked with his smile slightly fading away.
"Soon baby, you know daddy works a lot. You know why?"
"So I can get whatever I want and whatever I need., and for you too mommy." He said cheering up again. The lady came back out with the shoe box.
"Exactly! We can call daddy when we get home, okay?" He nodded with excitement and tried the shoe on. It fitted perfectly. "We'll get these."
"Yes ma'am. Will that be all?" The lady asked us. I nodded with a smile and she walked away. Ayden put his air force one back on and held my hand as we walked to the cashier. "$56.98" I swiped my card. She bagged the shoe and handed it to me. "Have a nice day"
"You too" my phone began to ring as we walked to the car. "Hello?"
"What are you doing boo?" Lyssa asked loudly, stay loud I swear. We got to the truck and I unlocked the doors. Buckling Ayden in and putting the shoes on the floor. I closed his door and walked over to the driver side, starting the car and pulling off.
"Nothing. Me and Ayden just left Finish Line you know he keeps messing up his timbs." I said looking at him through my rear view mirror. He was entertained with his mini iPad.
"Awwwe leave him alone, he's a boy. Heyyy goddson!" She shouted.
"Hai godmommy!" He shouted back, guess he could hear her.
"I love that baby" She said. I laughed at her.
"What about me? You un love me? I see how we do now bruh." I said jokingly.
"Nigga shut yo dramatic ass up, you know I love you. You on yo way home though?"
"I know" I said laughing. "Yeah, give us like 15 minutes and we'll be there" I added.
"Aightt, latta playa"
"Latta nigga" I hung up. "Alyssa on her way Ayden" I told him. He started cheering.
"Yayyyy! Godmommy!" He shouted with excitement. I laughed. "Mommy"
"Yes?"
"My birthday is coming soon." He informed me smirking, he looked just like his daddy.
"Yeah I knoww, my boodabug is turning five" I said fake crying. He started to giggle.
