After a lot of convincing from Gavin, he helped me make a get well soon card for Carnelia, because after all of that, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. She seemed genuinely distressed and enacting a revenge was the only way to make her feel happy, to the point of going manic. But, I also wanted answers. Mostly about myself and the mysterious powers that awoke from within me that day, as if she was the one who triggered that, then it must've been her doing partly.
I still think it's pretty crazy that the red energy my body emitted gave or bursted a cyst inside her, which was pretty weird, and it needed medical attention. It was a miracle she survived based on the pain I felt to make such an injury, and how long she had to wait suffering in the nature trails...
Now here I am, in the hospital waiting room, looking at the ticking clock, wondering when the time to figure this all out was. I was thinking about everything to ask her, from the shadows that have been making Gavin act strange, to the child that keeps appearing that looks exactly like Gavin but younger, and with darker hair of course. It's not even that Gavin dyed it too, he has naturally blonde hair.
I looked upon the card, a colorful card that contrasted from the empty color of the hospital. I had disguised the card as if it was from the whole class, to hide the personal reasons from everyone who asked.
"You are the boy who was supposed to give her a get well soon card from the whole class?" A distinct businessman confronted me. I admit I was extremely nervous... I didn't know who this guy was.
"Oh, Carnelia? Ah, yeah..." I told him.
The businessman told me, "It's a shame, she was about to go to that famed music competition, her works have became useless," and he walked away, not looking back.
I looked back as I went forward in the hallway, still nervous about everything, who was he and why was he talking about Carnelia like that? Eventually I reached the door. Inside was Carnelia, laying down on a hospital bed, looking out of the window, sunlight shining upon her, accentuating her red hair. Something about it looked so sorrowful.
"Carnelia..." I sighed, and sat beside her bed, looking at the window along with her. She eventually turned her head to me, her eyes focusing on me.
Carnelia had a deep breath before saying, "I'm sorry..."
"What for?" I asked.
"I endangered you for my own personal pursuit," she responded. I thought about Gavin, I hope she will be able to forgive him, despite it being her fault.
"It's fine, and hey, I wanted to give you this, and Gavin is sorry," I reassured her, as a I gave her the card.
She opened the card, looking upon the lines, her eyes widened. I felt a bit anxious but I saw a smile from her face, as she said, "None of us could have controlled this situation, it was meant to be."
"What do you mean?" I questioned, wanting the answers. Bad.
"I have to admit... I... forgot... who was controlling me," Carnelia panned her head away from me, feeling ashamed.
"Don't worry I can't even remember the details myself, but what was that power that made you end up here?" I sighed.
Then she looked at me, "I don't know, but... it's a very extreme power, if you don't control it, it'll do more harm than good."
I felt a little scared, and I wanted to know how to control it, but how would she know if she wasn't me? I said, "I'll try, but... I don't know how."
We hung out in the hospital room for a while, talking about what all has been happening while she's been in the hospital, she seemed to have lost her feelings of aggression for Gavin quite quickly, so I had to ask her this before I left, "Why exactly did you want to kill Gavin?"
