Chapter 1

Dear diary, 8/10/24-alex
I walk into the dorm area of kings college and start looking around my dorm number is 204 Im on the wrong floor then I actually get on the right one and unlock my dorm, I see 3 boys and 3 girls in the room "Hell no are you going to go to the bar on Monday" a girl in a blue crop top and black leggings said "shut up" a boy with a beanie on said.
"Y'all shut up the new kid is here!" A boy with brown hair and a dark brown sweater said. I stared nervously when everyone looked at me, "uh hi," "heyo you must be johns new roommate" a guy with a heavy French accent said while pointing towards the guy in a dark brown sweater. "Uh yea, I guess." I responded nervously. "I'm Angelica" a girl in a black t-shirt and light red skirt said "hi, I'm Eliza." The girl in a blue crop top said "thats-" "PEGGY!" A girl in a flowy yellow dress and yellow bow said. Everyone went around to say they're names.

I got my stuff set up and started writing in my journal, I had a laptop yes but I prefer a pencil and paper than a bunch of buttons with letters on them. Then I heard a knock on my door, "come in!" I said "hey, uhm sorry if you're busy but I do wanna get to know you if we're gonna be roommates for an entire semester"John said, following it with a chuckle. "Yea I guess" I replied while putting my journal away. "So what's your favorite color?" "Green" "nice, mine is blue" "cool," this went in for a bit until, well "so Alexander where are you from?" My face darkened and my tilted down just a smidge. "Uhm, anyways" I said trying to change the subject.

"Hey do you wanna go to the movies today? We've got extra tickets!" John asked. "Uh sure I replied, then my phone started ringing who would be calling me? Oh it better not be mrs.roberts "hello?" ,
"Hi it's Eleanor, Mrs. Roberts stopped drinking this week and she let us have free time outside of the orphanage, can you pick me up?" "Sure" I replied to my 'sister' who is really just an orphan who I took care of cause her parents died early in her life.

"Ok so we pick up your sister and then we go to the movies." Hercules or herc I should say, "where is your home" building correction "here," I said giving herc the address.

"Brother, brother!" Eleanor said while running up to me "hey el, how are you?" "As good as I can be when I'm in an orphanage." She said "fair point, c'mon let's go to the movies!" "Let's go see the stars!" She replied excitedly.

"Hey how come you had us stop at a place with literally just buildings and an orphanage?" Lafayette asked because we lived in the orphanage I thought "oh our house is near the area." I replied hopeing that that was was a believable lie. "Ok if you say so,"

"So what do you guys wanna get?" John asked "hm? Oh u-umh I don't have any money on me." I replied "no worries, on the house!" He said "really!? Thanks!" Eleanor said excitedly, its nice to see her smile I thought. "So?" John said "oh um popcorn I guess,"

We got to our seats and then the movie played, well it was a recorded version of the musical 'miranda' which is an amazing musical by the way. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder, Eleanor had wrote something on her sketchbook, Is John your boyfriend? Well of course no, I've known him for, since literally this morning so no I met him this morning!

Hi! Authors note! I haven't actually wroten a story before and this chapter is also short for the same reason. Also sorry if there's any Grammer mistakes or anything please let me know and I'll fix it!
