In this story, Lou Teasdale is the head makeup-artist/hairdresser for the British/Irish boyband, One Direction. She is 36 years old (I know she's only 29, just go with me.) She and Tom Atkin aren't together, and of course, she has 2 year old Lux.

"For the last time, mum, I am not meeting your clients." I spit the last word out like poison. A hurt expression flashes through my mother's beautiful blue eyes for just a moment, then it disappears.

"Alright." She says quietly, folding her last blouse and putting it in her suitcase. "I just wanted you to get to know them, Mica. You might like them."

"I'll be fine here alone, mum." I say turning around.

"You are just like your father," She says, a tear forming in the corner of her eye.

"Mu-um!" I protest as she envelopes me in a hug, "I'll be fine."

"I know you will be." She weeps. "But just remember, I'm bringing them here tomorrow night. If you don't want to meet them, you better stay  away from the house."

"I'll stay the night at Kyle's." I say, avoiding her unapproving gaze.

"Mica..." She warns, but I don't let her finish. I pick up her suitcase and carry it to the door.

"You and Lux will have fun on tour." I say patting the case. My mother nods, but has a far away look in her eye.

"I'll go get her." Mum says, walking out of the room. I plop down on the couch and whip out my phone. 3 more texts from Logan. He just won't leave me alone! We broke up 2 weeks ago and he hasn't stopped texting me since. I tell him to bugger off once again and slip my phone into my pocket. My mother reappers with a sleepy looking Lux.

"We're going to pick up the boys from the airport." She says, holding my little sister against her hip.

"I'll get out of here, then." I say, grabbing my bag from the floor. "It's a long drive to Kyle's."

"Have fun, baby." My mum says. She reaches for me, but I ignore her hug and scurry out the door. I hop into my car and slam the door, flick on the radio, and head out into the night. I make it through London and into the countryside when the song comes on.

"You're insecure, don't know what for, you're turning heads when you walk through the do-o-or. Don't need makeup, to cover up. Being the way that you are is-" That's as much of the song that plays before my hand slams full force on the power button. An ordinary person might think that being Lou Teasdale's daughter would mean that I love One Direction, but that's wrong for 2 reasons.

1) Any ordinary person wouldn't know I'm Lou Teasdale's daughter.

2) I want absolutely NOTHING to do with those 5 boys.
