Leo was a spoiled kid. He grew up rich and was rotten to the core. His parents loved him, especially his mom, but he hated them.
Mason was a young shy depressed orphan and had no money. He was smart and kind but was seen as a useless stupid orphan. He barely had money scraping through recess and such from being dirt poor
It was a regular school day. Everything was fine, like usual. Until their teacher made an announcement. A frin on her face, she warmly welcomed the suprise. "Class, meet Mason!" The shy kid pulled his hoodie up covering his face. "Mason, tell us more about yourself!" She gestured.
"Well...I'm an orphan whose parents died in a car crash." He explained. The class gasped, and the room filled with pity. Leo gestured, offering him the seat next to his. Thanks, Leo mummered. The crippled orphan self-esteem was brutally destroyed by how others perceived him. The way his orphanage treated him. An outcast they would say. These signs didn't show Leo how ungrateful he was. Leo never felt the gift of family Leo had, and Leo never felt the pain. Time went on, and Leo and Mason became a great duo. When they were going to graduate from primary school, Leo invited Mason over to his home to cath a glimpse.
That day..
The seniors laughed happily as they exited the school. Mason had carried a book, his phone and his notebook, and pencilcase. Leo was taken aback by the items he brought. I mean, his other friends brought things like sleeping bags, ipads, and food. Poor Mason couldn't afford all those.
