Breakfast at the Riley's was one of your favorite things about a sleepover. The kitchen always smelled heavenly like freshly baked bread. The combination of yeast, butter, and a slightly sweet doughy scent made you go weak in the knees. On top of that, Mrs Riley brewed fresh coffee. Its rich and aromatic allure made you feel like you were on cloud 7.

The television was running in the background, and you chewed on your piece of bacon as you perked up your eyes when a reporter stated the news.

"(Y/N) (L/N) escaped a vicious attack last night once more. Her friend, Sidney Prescott is the daughter of Maureen Prescott who was brutally killed last year by convicted murderer Cotton Weary who broke into their home and savagely raped and tortured the deceased. Cotton Weary is now waiting appeal for the death sentence handed down by young Sidney after she testified against him. She was the key witness in the state's case against-"

You clicked the button and the screen went black. Sidney smiled and looked at you gratefully and you flashed her a smile of your own. She looked down at her plate, her eyebrows furrowed in wonder. "It's never going to stop, is it?" She mumbled and you shrugged. "Don't say that. They have a suspect, even if it's Billy-" Dewey interrupted you, his look apologetic. "Billy was released, and his cellular bill was clean. He didn't make those calls. We are checking every cellular account in the county. Any calls made to you, or Casey Becker are being cross-referenced. It's gonna take some time to find him but we will."

Dewey drove up to the school, and Sidney and Tatum were in the car with you. You slammed the door shut and grabbed your backpack from the floor of the vehicle.

"Don't worry, (N/N). It's school, you'll be safe here. I'll be patrolling around the grounds if you need me," Dewey reassured as he placed his hand on your shoulder.

You all started to walk up to the school when an obnoxious reporter ran up to you, screaming questions into your face. "So, how does it feel to be almost brutally butchered again and on top of that in your own home? Do you think your parents have anything to do with it?"

"Leave her alone! She just wants to get an education. Turn that thing off," Dewey ordered, his voice with a hint of authority.

-

"I want you to meet us here right after class. Okay (N/N)?" Tatum rubbed your shoulder and handed you the backpack that she offered to carry as you took off your jacket on the way to your lockers. You simply nodded at her question and turned towards Stu as both Tatum and Sidney made their way to class.

"I haven't seen Billy around. Is he really pissed? I swear I didn't mean to frame him, but it just seemed like-" you rambled as Stu plopped an arm around your shoulders, interrupting you with his loud voice. "Don't worry (N/N) his heart is just broken. Nah I'm totally kidding. "

You sighed in relief and pulled out a few books from your locker when suddenly a guy in a black cloak and a Ghostface mask ran down the corridor right past you. You immediately tensed up and held onto Stu as you let out a small shriek. Stu swung his arms around your waist and stared after the guy with amusement as his laughter filled your ears.

"Why are they doing this?" You pressed your forehead against his chest, not daring to look up to not let anyone see the tears in your eyes. "Are you kidding? Look at this place it's like Christmas." You looked up at him and without another word made your way towards the bathroom, where you could cry all you wanted. You heard Stu yell after you when suddenly a brick wall stood in your way. You muttered a small ow and looked up with teary eyes to see Billy.
