Rolling my eyes towards them, I turn away, and begin opening cabinets in search of a glass. I open cabinet after cabinet, and each time comes up empty. "Where are the cups?" I mumble to myself. I hear shuffling behind me, then feel as a body presses into my back, on instinct I spin around, and shove the body away from, and bring my fists up in defense.
Carter holds up his hands in defense "Relax I was only gonna grab the cup for you" He rushes out. I look around the room only to find the rest of the boys watching us. I blink multiple times, and shake my head coming out of the haze I was in. Slowly I lower my hands back to my sides.
"Right, ya" I say as I step out of his way, and allow him to grab the cup. Carter looks at me with concern, but he doesn't voice it, instead he walks forward, opens a cabinet I missed, and pulls out a cup.
He turns towards me and extends the cup towards me "Here you go. Are you alright?" He asks. I nod, and take the cup. Turning towards the fridge I begin filling my glass with water. Carter clears his throat "Right" He starts "About earlier. You can't just leave the suite like that. You have to tell someone where you're going, especially if you are by yourself" He finishes.
I wait until my glass is full, before turning back to him, and downing the entire thing. I make sure to make eye contact with him as I do. Finihing the water, I place the glass on the counter, and finally speak. "I'll make sure to leave a note next time" I start cooly "now may I go, I would prefer to be sweat free for our first class" I finish.
"That'll work for now, so long as one us knows were you are" Carter responds, sounding suprised by my lack of fight. I give hom a quick nod of understanding, and begin walking to my room. Making it to my door I begin to pull it open but am stopped by a voice.
"Hey, How far did your run?" looking over my shoulder I find Logan looking at me expectantly, as well as the others not so subtly trying to liston in.
Huffing a breath, I answer "fifteen miles" in a calm voice. "Wha" "no way" "that's not possible". I ignore the chorus of suprised voices behind me, and enter my room, making sure to close, and lock my door behind me.
Twenty minutes later
Pulling the shower curtain open, I reach out grabbing my towel, and wrapping it around myself. Heading over to the counter I reach forward, and pull my bracelet, and watch as once again the scars disapper.
I made a mental note to wear the bracelet everywere I go, not wanting to have anyone see my scars, and start asking questions. The only time I'll take it off is in the shower, and when I am sleeping so long as my door is locked.
Entering my bedroom I head over to my dresser, and begin looking for clothes. Unsure of what to were I bring out a pare of black cargo pants, a tight long sleeve short, as well as my black leather jacket. I quickly change, then head over to my nightstand, making sure to grab my backpack on the way.
Opening the drawer, I pull out one of my knives, and strap it to my thigh, as well as one of my guns, making sure to keep it in it's holster, and place it inside my bag, along with an extra knife. Closing the draw I open the box on top of the nightstand, and pull out my watch, and strap it on, as well as pulling out the silver locket, and clasp it around my neck.
I open the locket, and look at the picture of me, and my mother. It's a picture of my mom sitting down, with 6 year old me on her lap. It was taken a year before she married Asher, It was before everything went down hill. Not wanting to bring up any bad memories I close the locket, and tuck it under my shirt, not wanting to have to answer any questions about it.
Heading over to my other nightstand, I grab my sketchbook, notebook, and my pens, and stuff them into my bag. Bending down I grab my empty waterbottle, making a metal note to fill it before we leave. I pull my backpack onto my shoulders, and head toward my bedroom door, making sure to pocket my phone on the way, and pull it open.
Upon exiting my room I am met with an empty room. My eyebrows raise in confusions. 'I'm not late am eye' I ask myself. Looking down at my watch I find it only to be 8:30am leaving us an hour until class. Heading over to one of the doors I wait to hear something. Hearing rustling on the other side, I exhale a breath of releaf, and head over to the kitchen to fill my bottle.
I head over to the fridge, and fill my bottle up with ice, and water. As I close the lid I hear four sets of doors open, and close. Spinning around I see Carter, and Grant first, and find them dressed similarly in a pair of training pants, and a t-shirt, both of them looking put together, looking behind them I find the twins to be looking more desheveled as they talk amongst themselves, as they walk.
Carter walks towards the door, and pulls it open, but remains on the side letting Grant, and the twins go ahead of him. He looks over to me "Ready to go?" He asks. I give him a nod, and follow behind the twins. I liston as Carter follows behind me, and shuts the door. I wait for the familiar click of the lock, but am met with silence.
Looking over to Carter I ask "Your not going to lock it?" I ask, confusion lacing my voice. Carter's eyebrows raise at my question. He opens his mouth to speak, but closes it. Finally after an akward silence he finally speaks.
"Why would I need too?" He respondes slowly.
