The sky was… a pale, gray-scale baby blue today. The clouds dispersed as soon as I looked at them. How pitiful. This world… is pitiful. It's so pitiful and sad, I can't even go to school without quietly slandering everyone to myself. I can't even, I can't even. I can't even I can't even I can't even I can't even I can't even I can't even I-

“Umm… Mani? You've been spacin’ out for a while now. Class has already ended.” I jolted and jumped back by the sudden hand that was placed on my shoulder. My hands went up in the air into a karate pose, and realized it was just my friend. Her name was Eliana Caeli Suri. She honestly has a pretty name. Other than that, she has been my friend since we were children. We're both freshmen at a school called Alterstone High. A very weird school, but who cares about that anyways.

“Well, it's not too unexpected of the spacing out master himself, the one, the only… Mani Sidra Crowbell~!!!”, Eliana annoyingly sang out loud. “Seriously, give me a break. My mind is jumbled up right now, and you're just throwing more building blocks into it.” I scoffed at her, with obvious discomfort and anger. She then gave me a shocked face, as if this isn't my personality or something. “What~? You on your shark days or something?” she jokingly replied, which I took as a duel to certain death. But I held back that anger, and let it all out by slamming my head on the table.

She jumped back in surprise, and started laughing for a while. She then asked me if I was okay, which I'm obviously not. I finally got up from my chair, and went over to the nurse's office again. There isn't an adult nurse

in this school, so all the nurses are regular students, who are willing to cut class for the sake of kids who clearly do not know how to play dodgeball. “Oh, are you back for another therapy session? Sorry, I'm booked for the whole day, so I can't help you at the moment…”, said the worried female student, also known as Lilith Amara Rogue, the school's most famous nurse. Honestly, why do all the women here have such pretty names?

“Nah, I'm just trying to hide from Eliana. She's being annoying and it hurts my head. I know she doesn't like nurses or doctors so I know I'm safe here, no worries.” I reassured her with almost no emotion. Her eyebrows tilted into an upside-down arch. She had a feeling that I was disappointed that I'm not getting a therapy session today. Atleast, that's what I think. My parents told me I'm psychic, so that's most likely what she's thinking. She suddenly grabbed my hand, and spoke up after like, 4 minutes or something. “I-It's okay!! You're doing well right now, s-so don't feel bummed about this world!”, Lilith stuttered as she delivered this message. Sometimes, I think she's the psychic one. She just has that in her, which is somewhat interesting.

Soon, the bell rang. I guess it was already time for the next class. Man, time flies by way too quick nowadays. I started to head over to my next class, and met up with Eliana once again, which annoyed the ever living life outta me. Class seemed to have lasted an eternity before lunch break, and we got up and left. Eliana went to eat lunch with her other friends, while I went to the library. I don't eat much, since it seems too much of a hassle. I looked around the library, looking for a book, knowing that I've read almost every book there. Soon, I found one that I didn't recognize. A crescent, dark blue hard cover book, with brown and dirty pages, some even burnt. What an interesting book… I took it out of the shelf, and dust flew everywhere. I found a place to sit, and I started flipping through the pages of the book.

There were many interesting things about it. It was like an informative book, but mixed in with a light novel of some sort. What a weird but cool mix. I thought to myself. And then, I flipped to a page that stood out to me
the most. The page showed the moon, but it looked weird. The moon had eyes, and was looking to the West. I tried to read the writing, but it seemed to be the only page that had a different language. Hebrew, most likely? I thought to myself once again. But I soon recognized the place the moon was looking at. “The Celtic Manor, huh?...”, I quietly whispered to myself. I was so mesmerized by the page, that I didn't realize the demon was standing right behind me. “Whatcha’ readin’, emo kid?~”, Eliana suddenly yelled into my eardrums.
