The air was tense and still as a pool of crimson red spilled all over the sunburnt wooden floor. A woman's presumably dead corpse was the origin of the ruby river. Her abdomen, chewed out to the point where her ribs showed and half eaten vital organs. House flies buzzed and whirled around the smell of blood and hover around the area.
The woman's eyes were rolled to the back of her skull lifeless and forever still. Another corpse was discovered a few inches away but this one wasn't particularly human. The corpse was plump and round. Its head was distorted and it had several eyes one couldn't count.
Half of its jaw was missing, seeming like it had been blown off by an explosion, but there was no signs of burn marks. It had four arms and human like legs, its remaining upper jaw had sharp uneven teeth. Its teeth was also stained with crimson, matching the one of the woman's corpse.
Pants and gasp for air rang through the quiet melancholy atmosphere. A child, her hands were stained with corrupted blood. She couldn't move, she refuses to but what could she do. She was in a panicking frenzy as the execution on the corpse was her doing.
It came out of now where, specifically, right behind her mother. They were watching T.v, like every Saturday night. Nothing scary, just the comedy, they both loved comedy. But this, horrible creature from who knows where just showed up and ruined all the joy.
One minute her mother was on the couch, laughing away of how silly the character was being, and suddenly, she was on the ground covered in filthy blood, ruining her favorite dress.
She didn't know how she did it, but some force inside did her best to harm the creature. To protect her mother. But the fein got its chance and then succumb to death.
The young girl bit her bottom lip continuously as her eyes glistened with tears that were ready to just burst like fireworks. Her heart aches and her lungs burned from not taking in oxygen.
"Hey there." A males voice clouded her left ear. She couldn't bother to move, maybe it was someone that can help, or maybe it was another fatal demise.
Gojo flickered his blue eyes to the woman's corpse and the cursed spirit in the corner missing a lower jaw. He muttered a curse word then lowers himself to the little girls level.
"I know this is really hard right now, but I'm here to help you, I promise." Gojo said gently as the same look of horror was still stained on the girls face not wavering. He took a breath and chose his words carefully.
"I'm Satoru Gojo— I work with people called Jujutsu sorceress, who go through this stuff all the time." He said as it seemed to have the girls attention as a slight look of confusion paints her face. Gojo took that initiative to continue.
"I know you've lost someone very special to you, I'm really sorry." He sympathized as the girl turned her head ever so slightly.
"Why did that happen... why did that thing take my mama?" Her voice was on the verge of breaking down as her hand shakily points to the dead woman.
Gojo's heart aches at the question. "Cursed spirits are born from negative emotions— fear, sadness, anger. They feed off those feelings, and sometimes they become powerful enough to harm others." He explains the best to his abilities to the young girl.
He thought, why would this happens to someone, so young, so pure. It's eating him away that all because he wasn't quick enough, he wasn't able to spare this child from such an awful sight. Such a terrible thing to happen to someone so young.
