I watch in horror as the car burst into flames while I get close to it. The first thought that rushes to my head is: My wife is in there.I dash to the car and grab the handle, flames are everywhere, burning the harsh, climbing the tree, on the door. The handles are flaming hot and burn my hands but I urgently pull the handle till it flys open.
I quickly spot a limp body lying in a pool of glass. Bloom is on the floor, chairs, and dashboard. Flames surround her, getting closer and closer to her. A part of her pants set on fire as I reach for her. She holds her belongings close to her in her state, protecting them from damage.
She's still alive, just unconscious. Her breathing is shallow but it is still there which calms my nerves slightly.
Seeing her gorgeous face after 2 weeks of avoiding her is refreshing. It's crazy how she became this important to me after a while of knowing her.
I hold her in my arms and hurriedly rush back to my car. Were far out in nothing and there was no signal for the next 5-10 minutes. I dragged the man to knowing Sofia would completely freak out if I left the guy alone there. Even if I wanted to. After all, he did get her into this mess.
"If my wife wasn't in danger right now, I would beat the absolute shit out of you." I glare at the man through the rearview.
In a couple of seconds, I have service and I immediately call my private hospital close by and Leonardo.
"Alessandro son, what up?" Leonardo greets almost identically with how Sofia does.
"I'm on the way with Sofia to my private hospital, it's petty far off the city, about an hour away, and close to my central warehouse-"
"I'll meet you there," he says icyly. He ended the call right after he said that.
I make it speedily to the hospital and they immediately take Sofia away with a stretcher to the ER.
I follow behind them and take a seat in the hospital chair waiting anxiously. Nurses and doctors rush around the hallways. This is all my fault. If I hadn't left her alone for two weeks, maybe she would be ok. She hasn't even healed from the last attack and she's already back in the ER.The guilt and worry consume me. I've never felt like this after someone got injured. People get hurt all the time but my emotions are never this strong.
An angry curly head with her blonde buddy burst through the doors with glares on their face.
"What the fuck happened to her." the stupid curly head spits.
I glare back at her with as much anger and hate as I can muster.
"Don't fucking talk to me like that," I say coldly. I know the town may not work on her as she pretty much has the same personality as Sofia who would talk to me however she likes since day one.
