As I began moving to the next Area, TIZ's question crossed my mind once again.
"...Successor... and Legacy, huh?"
Considering the setting in a game, it was something possible yet not always the case. After all, it was possible that someone could be a 'Successor' of a Noble family or something similar even though the person giving the inheritance was still alive. Giving someone a Legacy could also mean giving someone the best creation the giver had made.
...but considering that this person named Chekat was not someone known or somebody who might have assisted the Town of Dune which had been suffering from a drought... I could not really deny that possibility entirely.
"...if the person really is dead... then will I not be able to unlock my next Class after finishing this Trial?"
{Is it necessary to have a living person help you reach the next Class?}
"...I don't know, but that is usually the case for games... for situations like this."
The questions continued to pile up and the mystery continued to deepen... but I had no time to continue pondering about this.
"...let's continue to the next Area."
I was starting to not get surprised when the bizarre distortion happened, but I could not bring myself to not tense up every time it happened; especially after considering how unpredictable and harsh the things that had happened until now.
When the distortion finally settled down, I quickly shook off anything I was thinking or feeling and began surveying my surroundings in earnest...
"...wait a minute, isn't this place..."
[You have found a resting area]
[You may choose between the three options]
[1. Rest, recover up to 50% of your HP and MP and remove all Status Abnormalities]
[2. Shop, obtain some items to use in this Dungeon]
[3. Explore the area]
{...I guess the Trial is not exactly cruel, seeing it gives you a chance to heal up right now}
"...I'm starting to have a bad feeling..."
If I remembered correctly, the events and battles after the last Resting Area had been a lot more chaotic compared to the earlier ones. If the same pattern was to be repeated, that meant the next few rooms would be similar... or perhaps even harder compared to what I had gone through.
"...maybe I have to see the Shop and buy something useful or offensive enough for my current situation..."
{Is the Accessory you just obtained not enough?}
"You mean this ring?" I raised my hand and showed the ring to TIZ's thorny window. "...it is good, but it is not enough."
{You said it was going to make things easier for you. Is it really not enough?}
"It is definitely a great item that will supplement my Battlemage playstyle... but it does not give me the edge that I need."
{Then what is it that you need?}
"...I had an idea, but I don't know whether Miriande Gloralis had a way to actually realize this idea of mine or not."
I turned my attention away from TIZ's window and turned to the system's prompt. There was no Hint window popping up, so perhaps I did not fulfill the hidden criteria or there was no hint that could be given in this place.
