WALKING into her father's study, it was filled with nothing but old, boring books and the place recked of the smell of books, there he was sitting behind his laptop and smiling, that smile that so much irritated her, folding her hands underneath her breasts and with her usual cold voice, she voiced
" Get it over with Mr Harrison" ending her statement with an eye roll. She never called him dad after what he had did to her.
Ever since the incidence between Leah and her father there was a huge drift between them, a drift so large that it was considered impossible for them to ever have a healthy relationship again. As a matter of fact Leah had disconnected herself from the outside world, she never wanted to bond again with anyone. The only places she loved was her room, her late mom's garden, and a small, old, library her mother had always loved that was always empty down street.
Due to the huge scar that was drawn down from her forehead down to her checks on the left side of her face, she had suffered GLOBE SUBLUXATION. It occurs when the eyeball is partially displaced from it's normal position in the eye socket, but remains connected to the surrounding tissues. She had to undergo surgery since her case was severe, she also had to get glasses since it had also resulted in double vision, the glasses had helped to achieve optimal vision correction. She lost her self worth, not really knowing what she stood for, she wore a mask everywhere since she considered herself to be looking scary.
" Don't be like that, take a seat" After going through series of therapy, Mr Harrison had been able to overcome the depression that accompanied his wife death, he then went on to try his best to fix the distance he had caused between himself and his daughter. After all she was the only daughter Abigeal his beloved wife had bore and she looked exactly like her mother. Noticing she didn't move an inche he gave up and just concluded going straight to the point.
Clearing his throat as a way to ease the tension and nervousness he felt he muttered quickly afraid that if he wasted time the words could get stuck in his throat. " I....I made slight changes to your school" Checking to see if there was any changes of expression on her face, he met nothing but cold, piercing eyes.
" I had registered you at the same school Vivian attends" he concluded quickly.
" What!!!!" Her calm, cold, low, voice pierced through his ears, she was his daughter but, she still sent shivers down his Spin.
She gave out a cold chuckle " I don't remember telling you I wanted to change school, or don't you think that it's deservering for me to know the things that have to do with me" her voice oddly cold.
He gulped, shifting uncomfortably in his chair as the silence that had invaded the study was quite choking, the temperature had also dropped drastically and he knew he had better start giving out an explanation if he wanted this meeting to end well. " Look Leah, it was a decision I had to take quickly and I have reasons for doing so, just listen to me"
" I'm listening"
" Firstly learning would be much more fun since you're going to be doing it with your sister....." He was about saying something else when she interrupted him, hissing in annoyance and gritting her teeth's " she is not my sister, she is nothing more than the daughter of the woman who had betrayed my mother, not my sister, she isn't worth that position in my life " " Go on" she concluded. Mr Harrison coughed nervously, he was scared, she hadn't even heard the main news yet and she was already this upset.
" Emmm........Leah....the....main.... reason I had......I had changed your....your school is....is....." He just couldn't take the words out.
" Is what???" She was already irritated
" The Benjamin's" he rushed bearly constructing a sensible sentence. But Leah knew, she knew the meaning of what he meant by the mention of that name and it made her blood boil, her eyes instantly turned so cold like that of an ice queen, she had tilted her head dangerously and also she squinted, making her look like a lion howering over it's prey.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY" Okay she was angry and whenever she was angry her monstrous self comes to view. Mr Harrison shivered in his seat, gulping okay, seems like he made a wrong decision.
