- I'm at home!
I exclaimed as soon as I entered the house. I kick off my shoes and go upstairs. In my room, I drop my backpack on the floor by the table and take off my leather jacket. I turn on my computer and turn to the window. The window was filled with raindrops and I was shaken by the cold. Walking over to my huge closet, I pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a gray sweater. I took off my leather skirt and pulled my pants over my legs. It got a little warmer. As soon as I took off my shirt, I quickly put on a sweater. I put the hood of the sweater over my head, took the computer from the table and went downstairs. Mom was already preparing lunch in the big kitchen.
- Well, tell me, - she turns to me and waves a spatula.
- I won't tell you anything. Just know that I made friends and school is fine.
-What did I tell you, honey? You will love it here.
- Anyway, I'm still mad at you.
I open the website Facebook and raise my eyebrows when I receive over twenty-five, now six friend requests. Among the invitations I find Olivia, Briana, Liam, David and even Eliot with the star Natalie. I only add them. I haven't even seen or known the others. I'm not saying I know Eliot and Natalie, but ... what's the difference?
- Will you eat? - mother wakes me up and puts stew on the table.
Nod and a message from Briana appears on the screen.
Briana Namar: How was the trip home? :P
Grace Combs: If I'm already at home, it's great.
Briana Namar: Didn't Eliot accompany you? :oh
Grace Combs: Showed a shorter way.
-Is this your new friend? - asks mother.
I fold the computer and pull the stew closer to me as she smiles.
After lunch, I go back to my room to change into my sports clothes. I put my hair in a high ponytail and tied my sneakers. I put my phone and headphones in my sweater pocket. After going downstairs, I filled the empty water bottle in the kitchen with water.
- Mom, I'm running!
-Remember, this is New York, so be careful! -she exclaims.
-Another reason to hate New York!
I leave the house and look at the sky. This one is already painted gray, pink and yellow. Running yesterday is better for me. Well, at least it was in Santa Monica, because at that time people locked themselves in their houses, and this is New York. The city that never sleeps. After turning on my playlist, I go for a run and I keep looking at the GPS to make sure I don't get lost from home. One thing I like is that the East River is a few kilometers away from our area. There should be a nice view of the city at night after dark.
An hour later, I return home, because it is completely dark outside. I kick off my sneakers and go to the kitchen to get a drink of water. Here, my mother is turning to the pots again.
-0h, you're back. - She looks at me and smiles strangely.
- What? - I ask her as I go to the fridge and pull out a bottle of water
- A guy came to us and he was looking for you.
-Who is he?
I snort and turn the water bottle upside down and drink some water.
- How can I know who he is if I wasn't here?
- Well, he was brown-haired, tall and had tattoos.
Eliot. Only he knows where I live so far. I nod to her and took the computer from the table, and I walked to my room.
-He said he would write to you!
Mom exclaims before I enter the room. I put a bottle of water and a computer on the table. I grab my pajamas from the bed and pull out clean underwear from the closet. Of course I go to the bathroom and go through the cleansing process.
Washed head and body smelling delicious, I returned to the room. I wake up my computer and log on to Facebook.”These are indeed messages from Elliot and Briana.Eliot Sherwood: Do you want me to show you around town?
I laugh and shake my head. How pedophile that sounds.
Briana Namar: Every girl in school spends a whole year trying to get his attention, and you in one day?
Grace Combs: Maybe because that "all" seems too readily available?
- Grace! -Mother exclaims.
-What!?
I look at the door for my mother's answer, but I don't hear it. Isn't she doing that?
-Grace Combs!
Yes, she does. I growl and leave the room with a bang. I go down the stairs and into the kitchen. Ian has already returned home.
- How was the first day at school? -Ian smiles at me.
- I will survive, - I laugh together with my mother - What do you need, mother?
- We will go to the neighbors, do you want to go together?
-Guess the answer, -I close my eyes.
-Okay. I'm done eating and lock the door. We have the keys.
-Okay. don't get drunk
Mom gasps and I wink at her and go back into the room. When I get to my computer, I find more messages.
Briana Namar: How is it hard to reach?
Grace Combs: Long story short x
Eliot Sherwood: You did "seen." Not pretty, you know?
I pull up my magnifying glass and laugh.
Grace Combs : Doesn't that show I don't want to talk to you?
Eliot Sherwood: You will soon :)
What the hell was going on here?
WHO THE HELL WAS SERIOUSLY HERE? I'VE BEEN WRITING THIS PART FOR OVER A WEEK AND IT'S GOT SHIT.
I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS STORY BECAUSE IT WILL. I WANT TO BE LIKE GRACE COMBS <3
