14. Complicated Feelings.

Shubman stood on the balcony of his room in Mohali, letting the cool evening breeze wash over him. The city lights twinkled below, a familiar sight that brought a sense of calm after a long day.
He took a deep breath, relishing the peace that enveloped him. "Nothing beats Mohali evenings," he murmured to himself.

The distant chirping of crickets added to the serene atmosphere, and he closed his eyes briefly, letting the stress of the day melt away.

"It's moments like these that remind me why I love being here," he said softly, gazing out at the skyline.

The scent of freshly cut grass mingled with the cool air, a comforting blend that grounded him in the present moment. Leaning against the railing, he savored the quiet solitude, grateful for the chance to unwind.

"I should do this more often," Shubman mused, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Just breathe and take in the beauty of it all."

He stayed there for a while longer, letting the tranquility of the night soothe his soul, before finally turning back inside with a renewed sense of peace.
Shubman's mother entered his room with an unexpected announcement.

"Shubman beta, Riana is here," she said, her voice tinged with surprise.

Shubman felt a mixture of emotions flood through him at the mention of Riana's name. He had grown to resent her in recent days, questioning why she would appear now of all times.

He had once trusted her implicitly, considering her an ally and confidante. She had been there during his lowest moments, supporting him through thick and thin. Yet, she had also been the source of recent troubles, sowing discord between him and Siya.

As his mother spoke, he wrestled with conflicting thoughts about Riana. Despite everything, a part of him still empathized with her. But another part of him couldn't overlook the pain and turmoil she had caused in his life.

His mother remained unaware of these internal struggles, unaware of the rift that had grown between him and Riana. "Why is she here now?" he asked quietly, more to himself than to his mother.

His mother, oblivious to the tension in the room, replied warmly, "She wanted to see you, beta. I think she misses you."

Shubman's jaw tensed slightly at the mention of Riana's longing. "I'll talk to her," he said finally, his tone neutral yet guarded.

As his mother left the room, Shubman stood by the window, staring out at the familiar Mohali landscape. The weight of unresolved emotions hung heavy in the air, mingling with the evening breeze.

Shubman stood by the window in his room, staring out at the quiet Mohali evening. The city lights twinkled below, casting a gentle glow into his otherwise dimly lit room. He heard the soft click of the door opening behind him, followed by hesitant footsteps approaching.
