sadly, this is based on a true but the ending left me laughing b/c of the criminal's hypocrisy

in 2013, a mom and her kids went shopping on walmart. three kids were named nevaeh, destiny and cherish. it should be a normal day until the mom made the most dumbest and infuriating mistake that change her kids' life.

a stranger came out of nowhere, asks mom if he can look after her eldest daughter cherish while she's busy looking for clothes. he promised her a $100 gift card.

unlike any other smart mom would say, SHE ACCEPTED IT and continue her day as the man take cherish out of the store. basically, the mom pimped cherish for money (it turned out fake later)

hours later, this dumbass realize cherish and the man never came back so she called 911. she told everything what happened and cried, "i don't wanna be one of those parents who lose their child!"

the police identified that man as donald. he has a history of harming children and was in and out of jail many times (wtf, judge?).

they caught him driving his car but cherish wasn't with him. at the station when the man was alone in his room, he was complaining how cherish fought for her life and left him bite marks. he was then transfer in a jail cell with a under cop disguised as his cellmate. so donald freely expressed how proud he did "that" to the 8 year old girl and the cop basically congratulated him (ofc, he's doing that to get confessions).

days later, cherish was found strangled to death and half-naked. i'll stop here about this tragic news. sad part is that she and her dad was planning to spend time together in the summer and now he can't cuz she's gone b/c of a mother's dumb mistake.

donald was trialed and sentenced to life. that took many assaults on children over the years and one death to get him to be jailed.

and this where the joke comes in. that pdf file argues that the investigators violated his privacy when he was in the cell.

let me say that again:

a man who violated children over the years (was let off free many times) and killed an 8 year old girl, only caring abt his satisfaction, is whining about his privacy being violated by the police for evidence.

in the end after a month later, the mom's kids were taken away from her and was placed in adoption. together they got adopted by a couple who actually cares about them! mom was forbidden to see her kids again.

mom still plays victim during interviews and center herself when talking about cherish's life. :/
