"Mainecoon Kat, time to get up babe," Louis whispered. I groaned and turned over. I opened my eyes and looked into his beautiful pale blue eyes.
"Do I have to?"
"Yes, we're going somewhere today!" he said, pulling me up. I groaned and went into the bathroom to change. I put on one of his t-shirts and a pair of my jeans. When I walked back out, he was chugging a bottle of water. He gave me a questioning look and laughed.
"I like you better in my clothes," he chuckled. I rolled my eyes and grabbed a water bottle. The drive to wherever we were going was long and a little awkward. We ended up at an old warehouse. There was a lot of cars, but mainly motorcycles parked out front, and a lot of people inside. He grabbed my hand and held it tightly. "Do not let go of my hand," he said sternly. I looked into his gentle eyes and nodded. His eyes were gentle, but his actions were rough and protective. When we got in, I immediately noticed I was the only girl. Almost all eyes were on me like I was food.
I scooted closer to Louis. He noticed my nervousness and gave my hand a reassuring squeeze.
"I won't let them hurt you," he whispered.
"I'm scared Louis."
"I know you are, but they won't hurt you as long as long as I'm with you." This didn't make me feel any better. How could he be so sure?
"Louis, can we go? I can't do this," I whispered.
"No."
"Louis please. I'm really claustrophobic," I pleaded. He said nothing, just looked at the boxing ring in the center of the warehouse. I yanked my hand free and ran for the door. Before I could get out, two guys grabbed me.
"Where do you think you're going?" one of them snarled. I struggled to get free, but it was useless. Then I felt someone pulling me. I breathed in the familiar scent of Louis. I clutched his t-shirt and cried as he held me against him.
"I told you not to let go," he whispered. Then he picked me up bridal style and carried me to his car.
"I'm sorry Louis," I said when I'd calmed down.
"It's fine. I should be sorry not you. I shouldn't have brought you there Kat." He was blaming himself for this. I would say something, but I didn't want to anger him. When we got inside his flat, we ate some sandwiches and watched some movies.
"Louis, why were we there?" I asked.
"Because one of my mates was going to fight."
"Oh." That night, I slept against his hard bare chest. His arm had made its way protectively around me. I listened to the rhythmic beating of his heart. I love him, but do I fear him just as much?
