In the heart of the dark kingdom, where shadows ruled and secrets lived, King Choi sat with a weight that had crushed him for two decades. His face, once fierce, bore lines of sorrow and years that no magic could erase. The crown, the ancient symbol of the dark elf legacy, rested silently on its pedestal beside him, refusing to bow to the will of his second son, Beomgyu. The kingdom waited, the council whispered, and yet the crown remained still—unyielding, as if listening for a call that only the rightful heir could answer.

Twenty years ago, he had been blessed with the promise of a son, an heir whose birth had defied the realms of time itself. For ten months, his beloved wife had carried their child, a life meant to bring strength and unity to the dark kingdom. But on a fateful journey to the healers, destiny had shattered. Ambushed by unseen foes, he fought with all the might a king could muster, yet even his strength couldn't save her. In a desperate escape, she had plunged into the river, her silhouette swept away in the merciless current. He had searched for a year, combing every inch of the riverbanks, but she was gone—along with the heir his kingdom awaited.

As years passed, the council grew restless, their whispers sharpening into accusations aimed at the light kingdom, though no evidence ever surfaced. They pressed him to remarry, and in reluctant obedience, he fathered Beomgyu, a son who bore his blood but not the promise of the crown. While Beomgyu cared little for the throne, the council's hunger for power grew with each passing year.

Now, under the weight of a kingdom's hope, a missing heir, and a crown that refused to choose, King Choi sat in silence, haunted by the question that refused to die: Was the light kingdom truly behind the ambush, or was there a darker truth yet to be uncovered?

Beyond the palace walls, across lands shadowed and light, a boy with raven hair and eyes touched by frost lived in obscurity, unaware that a crown and a kingdom awaited his return.

Character Introductions:

King Choi Seungcheol: 

The king of the Light kingdom has been ruling for 150 years, is married to Choi jeonghan his love from the childhood has a son Choi Soobin who is everything for both ot them.  

King Choi youngjae-

The king of the dark kingdom has been ruling for almost 135 years, was married to his childhood sweetheart his love but lost her 20 years ago in an ambush along with his first son. Had to remarry for the sake of kingdom and has a second son beomgyu.

Choi Soobin – 

Known for his charm and radiance, Soobin is the face of the light kingdom, a true light elf prince with striking, almost ethereal beauty. His shimmering silver hair and vibrant green eyes with a hint of fire set him apart. When he wields his fire powers, his eyes burn like embers, a vision of controlled intensity. Though admired and revered, Soobin shoulders the responsibility of the crown and the defense of his people. Behind his princely demeanor lies a young man craving freedom from the duties that bind him.

Choi Beomgyu –

Beomgyu, the current dark elf prince, is disinterested in the throne and the intricacies of court politics. With shoulder-length black hair streaked with purple, he exudes a rebellious aura that speaks to his independence. His purple eyes reflect his affinity for water—a force of nature as unpredictable as he is. Though the crown is within his reach, Beomgyu feels no pull toward power, secretly hoping for the lost heir's return.
