A bitter battle.
Nothing less could be seen from any corner or any turn. Blood spattered against the ground, the trees, everything. It all tied together with merciless cries. It was very clear that the rebelling side was losing. Hope seemed to be nothing but a distant memory despite the determined looks of... well, everyone."Stop!" A voice cried.
Almost at once the warring soldiers gathered into a crowd around the one who made the imperative. The two armies did not converge in this crowd, however. In the middle were two rocks - one of obsidian and one of malachite - standing uneasily, facing each-other.
"Give in, Ora. You know this isn't your winning fight." The malachite sneered, clutching at a wound on his arm with a half-pained, half-teasing glare in his eyes.
"Oh, Maxine, when will you say something I don't already know?" Ora huffed, several cracks dotted over her weakened body. She didn't want to admit loss, but Maxine was right.
"Then surrender!" Maxine hissed in annoyance.
Ora rolled her eyes, taking a single trembling step forward. "Fine. You win. Our ideology is CLEEEEEARLY flawed whereas yours is just as clean and pristine as the toothbrush you've NEVER used." She gave him another quick glare. "At least use breath mints."
Maxine huffed.
"But I need to tell you something, Maxine, before my followers make haste." Ora added, a calm tone flooding into her voice, giving her what felt like a wise air.
"Your resolution of the defeated side of this war will not cease. No matter how many years it takes, there will be one. One who will find their way defying yours."Maxine seemed slightly intimidated for a solid moment but soon managed to regain his indifference. "Whatever. Go."
"Gladly."
