Our First, Forever Moment
"Why are you going away, sweetheart?", I said, my voice was dripped with vulnerability. Feeling discarded, my heart ached.
I was taken aback by your next words; absolutely unexpected.
"Kangaroos.", you uttered, wailing like a child.
My eyes almost widened, "Kangaroos?" I couldn't believe the reasoning of yours.
"They are dancing in my stomach.", your voice spoke, sounding helpless at the stomach ache.
I was lost in the moment, unable to resist the urge to gently press a kiss to your cheek.
"Kangaroo family.", you claimed, stopping me from kissing further.
I looked at you, your face painted with crimson- all shy.My heart skipped a beat at the adorable beauty before me.
Overwhelmed by emotion, I couldn't resist kissing every spot I vowed to cherish forever. My lips grazed your neck, but you danced away, halting my moments.
My hand cradled at the back of your neck, gently trying to refrain it from any moments. You swayed again before my lips could touch your neck.
I stood still, my gaze filled with love for you- love for God's exquisite masterpiece. Love for my sweetheart, guardian angel, and wife, who lifted me out from life's strife.
Your cheeks flushed crimson as your hands wrapped around my neck, supporting me.
I paused my kisses, nestling my head in the warmth of your neck, inhaling your addicting scent. Your gentle fingers stroked my hair as I whispered, "Kangaroos will keep coming."
I yearned to shower you with countless kisses, knowing our wedding in two months would mark a new chapter.
But those fluttering 'kangaroos' - the butterflies you'd affectionately named - refused to cooperate.
Suddenly, you exclaimed, "But their families are here!"
Irritation and annoyance danced on your face, yet I couldn't help but be captivated by your adorable expression. My heart swelled, bursting with love for your every emotion.
"Let the great grandfathers come too.", I declared, gently attacking your neck again.
Your eyelids fluttered closed, and your breath caught as I gently took your skin between my lips.
One. Two. I planted two tender kisses on your neck, then restrained myself, mindful of your frailty- The pain in your stomach. I didn't want to increase the ache in your stomach.
I silently took in you my embrace tightly, reminding myself I had to leave then.
You gently stroked my back, the accelerated beatings of your heart- ringing like a sweet melody to my ears.
