At the comfort of her home, Jenna cooked dinner. The food's rich scent filled the air with garlic and herbs. She glanced at the clock, her heart raced with a mix of nerves and excitement. She'd spent hours planning this meal, wanting everything to be perfect. She set the table with candles and a red rose. Just as she lit the last candle, she heard a soft knock at the door.

'Come on in. It's open.'

Y/N slowly entered with a box in her hands.

'Hi!'

'Hey there. I hope you brought your appetite, girl. We've got a feast tonight.'

As Y/N walked in the brunette's living room, she immediately spotted the candles and the red rose on the table and the Knicks game already playing in the background.

'Aw, Jenny, isn't that sweet.'

'Go ahead and pour yourself a glass of wine. We got dinner in about five and tipoff in about eight.'

'Great. I'm starving.'

While Jenna was finishing the food, putting the meat back in the oven for a little grill, Y/N put a few framed photos of herself from the box on Jenna's shelves, two wedding magazines on the coffee table along with a teddy bear. She then walked in to Jenna's bedroom. In there, she put the box down on Jenna's bed and took a bunch of other stuffed animals out and arranged a pink blanket on the bed.

Her next stop was the bathroom. She replaced Jenna's comic books on top of the toilet with a handful of beauty magazines. She put a pink, fluffy, really ugly lid cover on the toilet and a rug around it. Also fluffy, also pink, also really ugly.

With a satisfied smile she walked back in the living room and looked at the disks by the vinyl player.

'AC/DC, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Revival. The gang is all here. She must really like rock music from the 70-80s' Y/N took notes to herself. She can definitely use this information later on.

'Great! We got two minutes to game time' Jenna stepped out of the kitchen, immediately noticing the changes in her apartment.

'Wow! Look at all this stuff. Those are cute' she looked behind herself. Y/N accidentally left the bedroom door open, so Jenna had a full display of all the things there as well. 'And I saw the new comforter. I'm seriously so afraid to ask but..' Jenna sighed. '...what else you got in the box? I see it's not fully empty.'

'Oh. It's a baby fern' Y/N got the potted plant out of the box and handed it to Jenna.

'Really?'

'Just like our relationship, a helpless little baby in need of tender, loving care.'

'Thank you' Jenna's eyes widened as she put the plant down on the floor and she walked back to the kitchen to get the food.

'Sit down. Have a seat. Get ready. Game two. Welcome to the front row, madame. Dinner is served. Chef's special tonight, lamb with a cherry glaze. Let's start you off with the main dish. Right about there. And a few carrots' Y/N's face tensed.

'Wait, wait. Hey. You okay?'

'It's beautiful. You're beautiful, the game, the whole thing' Y/N fake sobbed. 'I wish I ate meat.'

Jenna looked away with an open mouth and a shocked, even horrified look on her face.

'You have to take it away before I gag' Y/N kept sobbing.

The restaurant Y/N decided on smelled like kale and earthy herbs that made Jenna's stomach churn, and the menu was a collection of things she'd never voluntarily order. Beet hummus, tofu sliders, lentil loaf.
