Chapter 6
Sophia continued when she took my silence as a hint to keep going, "I mean you do want to leave this island, don't you?"
"Of course, why wouldn't I want to leave?" I retorted. "So why do we need him anyway?"
"Well, I think that since Louis obviously fancies you, You could maybe act like you like him back," she replied.
"Are you implying that you want me to use him?" I gasped. I cannot believe what I just heard.
"Essentially," she shrugged as if it was no big deal. When in fact it was a big deal, I mean using someone for your own benefit?
"I think that's a little harsh." I pointed out.
This talk is making me nervous. This doesn't seem right at all, but I do want to get out of here.
"See, the thing is you're too nice," Sophia complained. "We're never going to leave this place."
I look at my best friend to get her opinion. Maybe she's in the right state of mind and will take my side. "Well, you see Sophia has a point. Right now, that's our only option." I am stunned by her words. "For the time being, swim with the tide until we can come up with a better strategy," she smiled a little to try and tell me it's alright.
Deep down I know this was wrong, but I trust her and I'm sure another plan will come into play. At least that's what I'm forcing myself to believe, because I don't want to think otherwise.
"Fine," I groaned giving in, I cannot believe myself right now.
"We're all going to do things we don't want in order to leave this stupid fucking island, but desperate times call for desperate measures," Sophia added.
Hours have passed and I'm still on my bed with Sophia and Landyn next to me. All we've been doing was planing out our next move. So far, it's pretty good and I think it'll work out. It's not fully developed but we have a few key points.
"Alright so going back, let's review what we've got so far," Landyn said.
"Alright," Sophia begins. "We will have Harlow show Louis" she whispers his name, "That she too has taking a liking in him, just enough to allow her to use the control room and take - well, control."
"And then you come in and "interview" the officials for some magazine and since you're amazing with words, manipulate them in a way that you can get out more information from them. Which is going to be hard but I'm sure you've got this. And I, being the flight attendant will give you guys all the information I have on the plane and when they come in and out of the island."
I nodded in agreement, "It's a pretty sick plan but so far we've only got the backbone, let's plan more tomorrow because my brain is cooked" I admitted laughing a bit.
"I can't believe we're actually going to do this," Landyn breathed.
Wow, neither can I.
