Monday, 5:30 p.m., a day had passed since the prison incident, El Parasito and Brown were driving through the desert, at a point that bordered Texas.

Brown: "How long until we meet your friends?"

Parasite: "About 6 hours, 7 if we stop for a burger."

Brown: "The fucking police are looking for us! What burger do you think I want?"

Parasite:"Hey, you can't be on an empty stomach, you need to regain energy, take vitamins! The only thing you've eaten was an apple that you stole, you must be hungry... and sleepy."

Brown: "Melbourne used to train me for these situations... he lock me in dark, dirty rooms for days, given only water, not sleeping a single second... I survived."

Parasite: "They treated you like human shit and you adopted that situation as the only possible thing for you, you never thought you could be or deserve more." The parasite saw a giant sign pointing to a Wendy's 2 kilometers away: "Harry, let's get a burger."

Brown frowned and looked away at the window: "I told you I'm not going to eat. Besides, we have no way to pay."

Parasite: "Believe it or not, this Freddy guy had some serious money, thank god I took his stupid body."

Brown: "That reminds me, I know you're just a parasite, but... what do you think I should call you?"

Parasite thought about it for a few seconds, scratching his head: "Well, look, Freddy isn't a bad name, but I don't want to be recognized by the name of the guy I killed... call me Paras, it's much better."

...

Kenny felt a dark presence coming from somewhere in the city, he had just finished his shift and was already having another panic attack. Kenny couldn't understand what was happening to him, but he knew something couldn't be right somewhere. Something destructive and dangerous was in the city, although none of his coworkers or superiors had noticed it.

While Kenny felt his despair, Tanya felt her own despair. The retriever couldn't stop thinking about the incident from the previous day, more than the fact that it had happened, what worried her in this way was that it was a pest that had done it. It was the first time she saw a pest commit an act of hate against hundreds of people.
"Pests can feel hate" is what she thought silently, confusion and fear would soon reach society when they found out, the union and the media lied saying that the perpetrators was not a plague but an armed criminal group, which did not improve people's spirits, but deceived them so as not to start a "Pest Drama" in the population. But she was the most worried of her friends and bosses.

Kenny and Tanya stood close to each other, one had their own shit regarding this situation, but both knew the other had doubts and worries, so neither would let the other sink into those fears.

Kenny was the first to take the initiative: "Hey Tanya, wanna to go out somewhere?"

Tanya was surprised that the big blue dog had finally proposed to her: "Sure... where you wanna go?"

Kenny: "I don't know... we can go down to the lower part of the city and see what's there."

Tanya: "Sounds good to me, I know a couple of places that..."

Kenny interrupted her in excitement: "Great! So, I'll meet you there or should I pick you up?"

Tanya: "Kenny, we live in the same apartment."

Kenny: "So, I'll see you there?"

Tanya sighed with some enjoyment: "Yeah, let's say so."

Kenny stood up and started walking towards the door with plausible enthusiasm: "Great, see ya! Bye!"
