I was stunned by Teresa's actions! I watched as Net pulled her back. My ex-girlfriend immediately stumbled back and tried to hold onto my hand, and I held onto her when Teresa glared at me.

Gulps. She may be younger than me, but she was definitely the more fiesty one. How the hell did she turn up at this cafe out of all places in the world?!

I sighed as I pushed my ex subtly back behind me.

"Teresa.. I know you are angry but calm down. She just came to speak to me. There's really nothing between us."

I muttered, looking at her slowly.

"Stop lying to me, P! You think I can not tell what's on her mind or yours?! You know how hurt you were when she did that to you! Why are you letting her walk into your life again!? Don't your feelings matter?!"

I wanted to open my mouth to say something when Teresa cut me off.

"If you still want her in your life, then sure, but forget about me being in yours!"

Teresa snapped at me and walked off, with Net hurrying after her quietly. But before he left, he turned to look at me, his eyes full of pity. I just wasn't sure if it was for me or Teresa.

I sighed, pinching my nose. I turned to look at my ex-girlfriend Kyunn. She was still dripping wet. I took some napkins and gave them to her, and she wiped herself off and excused to go to the bathroom.

Only if I had studied her a little more closely, I would have seen the tiny smirk on her face as she walked off. And I would have instantly known that Teresa was right.

But the thing about such situations, the bad doesn't come to light so soon, and the good often get misunderstood. I sent Kyunn back home and then made my way back home, too.

The atmosphere at home was quiet and sullen. I looked at my parents, who just shook their heads subtly in the direction of Teresa's room, mouthing softly she came home super angry and pissed. They said Net was in the room with her. I nodded. I knew better than to go approach her now.

I decided to get a shower, changed, and then went to the living room. Net was finally out of the room.

"Is she OK, Net?"

"She's calmer now, P. But maybe it's best if you did not go in and speak to her today. She definitely needs some time to cool down."

I nodded, feeling a tinge of pain. I went to the balcony to sit down. Net joined me for a bit.

"Are you ok, P?"

"Yes, I will be.."

"P..if you don't mind me asking, why was Teresa so angry with that girl earlier?"

I just looked at Net, unsure of whether I should confide in him. I looked at him for a long while and finally shook my head.

"I..I can't talk about it. I..I am not ready to, Net."

To give Net credit, he didn't say anything. He just nodded, patting my arms comfortingly. Net stayed a while more, just chatting about work before he finally left. I waved him off and then turned to see Teresa who was heading to the kitchen.

However, she stopped in her tracks when she saw me. Before I could say anything, Teresa just upped and disappeared into her room again! Argh! I was catching no break with her at all!
