Charles woke up on a table and asked "why is this wood so hard, is it mahogany?" And may shoved him away, as he was lying on the floor, he saw a pair of golden boots and mumbled to himself "this isn't going to be good"
May finished treating Marcus by dumping a bottle of Vodka on his ankles and bandaging them, she asked the tenant to guide her to the nearest physician, the lady at the table stood up and asks "first you break into our house, then use our goods, and ask for our services, no madam you shall not" and Marcus replies "Oswald, shut it and bring me to frieren, he knows his stuff" and may stares Marcus down, "who is Oswald and why do you know their name"
Marcus was about to answer and shaun shouted "I know, Oswald is trans" and Marcus scoffs then says "welcome to leyland, where females have male names and vice versa, now take me to help" and Oswald stands up and says "catch up, I'm fast, ex enforcer" and busts out running, Shaun tells himself "ain't gonna end well"
As Oswald is sprinting down the road, she looks back and sees may on her tail, drafting while holding Marcus and says "just keep going, don't mind me" as they arrived the physicians office, may busts in the shop and asks for the ER, which doesn't exist yet so they had to wait the NHS line, may being American and all sighed and said "I'm sorry, but I'm not waiting for your health" and Marcus grabbed her by the hair and weakly said "pull the 1911, I'll put 1912 bullets in you" and she replied with a smirk "you use swords not guns" and fired her gun and demanded for frieren, the locals confused by the loud sound machine, pointed towards the door and Marcus said while grinning "wait till we come back"
As may dropped Marcus down on the table, she told the doctor that he was missing ankles and since it's old times they should have spare ankles, frieren confused said "we are living in old times yes but that's just barbaric"
He then applied some kind of magic powder onto Marcus's legs to stop the bleeding and when may asked what it was he responded "I don't know, bought it off trader joe" and then he discharged Marcus, they attempted to leave but frieren stopped them and said "money or I cancel the treatment" so may handed him a bag of cash and said "I don't know this economy so get it converted" and left with Marcus in a wheelchair
May asked Marcus 3 important questions
1: how do we get out (M: we have a bigger problem here)
2: when will your legs heal (M: idk)
3: why are we sentenced to this place (M: remember the bigger problem?)
May then gasped and shouted "Charles", Marcus frowned and said "well thats in the past now, so where do you reckon he is?" And may asked "isn't this your country of origin?" And Marcus replied "well our son has your temper so unless he's found a way to calm down, I don't see a happy ending" and may gasped and gasped and gasped trying to make a point that she doesn't have a short temper (she does) and Marcus saw a peculiar man, he asked may to tackle him and she did, then looked at him and said "you expected me to question you? Seriously where's the trust" and Marcus rolled to the man
"Mate, you're wearing a cyberpunk ish shirt, so unless you're Charles can you help me understand this situation" and the man said "I'm a universal trader, I got this jacket from earth bc70" and Marcus replied "thanks, sorry for the trouble" and left to think
May laughed a bit and said "you're the strongest man I've ever met, conquered dragons, destroyed god like entities, survived cryogenic freezing and lived in LA for 5 years, yet an ankle injury is your Achilles heel" and Marcus replied "you made an entire Shakespearean play because of your first period" and may said "well I have ankles, and they showed me that Charles is being executed right now
Marcus stood up and fell immediately "broken legs, forgot that" then may put him in his chair and showed him the execution poster
The 2 rushed to the hanging spot where they saw Shaun being testified against for crimes, his crimes include (this is gonna be very long) genocide, homicide, arson, terrorism, grand larceny, unlawful sacrifices, not donating to the church, plane hijacking? What
Either way he's that bad and for it he's getting the death penalty...
Twice
Charles was next and was confused as to how he was guilty, and how Shaun will be killed twice, he looks around and sees Marcus and may standing in the crowd, waves at them and then shouts "I've been invited to play a game" and may followed with "be number 1" and gave a thumbs up, Marcus looked at her with homicidal thoughts and then asked for her to lift him to the stand, she took him and went through the crowd blushing, she drops him at the base and says "good luck" then Marcus crawls to the pole and stands up, basically lifting himself on the pole and shouts "these 2 men are not guilty of any crime, they are my comrades and will fix all problems right here right now"
May claps and Shaun says "took ya long enough" then crawls out the rope saying "it was loose" and frees Charles, then he apologizes saying "people of leyland, I am sorry for trying to eradicate you, destabilizing the country and making you go through a time loop which you can't escape, I admit I was a bit jealous but now I'm a changed man, and I hold my promises with peace and respect and justice, so take my apology or don't I don't mind" and Charles stood up saying "the mood was fun, let's do it again"
However all the attention was at Marcus, who looked like he was about to cry, he called may to take him back to the wheelchair and whispered in her ear "home sweet home, sadly" and frowned
