Coraline 2 - The Belldowns Return.

After Coraline Jones finished her fascinating conversation with Wybie's grandmother, the garden had finished, the Scarlett red tulips shone with the sunlight, nevertheless, the black cat Coraline had became friends with in her previous adventure, seemed to act strange, as he knew that everything wasn't okay.

After 2 years of psychiatrists, therapists and appointments, Coraline still wouldn't give up telling everyone about "The Other Mother." Even though no-one apart from Wybie's family believed her, she just wanted a peek through the door, but the key had been sent down the well, or so people thought. Coralines real mother had hidden the key, but got a spare of every key, and Coraline knew where the key was hiding. Next to the doll...

The doll that The Other Mother had made for her was tearing apart, the buttons were shrinking, the hair was hardening, the bright yellow coat was fading, everything was tearing apart. What if The Other Mother could still spy on her through the eyes of the doll? What if she could trap Coraline for good? What if she was still alive? Waiting for another child to snatch?

As Coraline came into the hexagon shaped room, the second key was in her hand, covered in sweat from the terrifying thoughts going on in her head, as the key slotted in, and twisted in the same direction, Coraline took a deep strong breath, and opened it, the door was back, but the tunnel was exactly the same to what she saw when she first opened the miniature door.

As she crawled through, she knew that there would be more trouble, so she turned back until... The other door opened, it opened with no-one there... Was the other mother expecting her again? She had to find out, so she continued to go forwards.

As the small hexagonal room became closer to Coralines sight, she could see that the other mother had made some improvements, so she investigated on. Suddenly, she heard some humming to a tune she knew well.... Coming from the kitchen... This was the same setup as last time. As she ran back through the little door, her mother and father were waiting...

"Coraline, what the hell is this thing!?" Asked Coraline's mother.

"It's the portal to her world, the other mothers world. She needs to go, she'll steal more children and-" Replied Coraline, out of breath.

"Coraline, if this is true, why can't we go through?" Interrupted Coraline's father.

"No! Not in a million years, but it wouldn't matter, she can't escape without the key. So she can stay here forever, or she can take more children." Explained Coraline.

"We need to go back outside, Wybie's grandmother has something for you. Also, Coraline, never open the door. Ever." Said Coraline's mother.

As the family left the room, the tunnel disappeared, as The Other Mother needed a plan, a plan to catch Coraline for good. And as everyone gathered around the well, rain started to fall. But down below the depths of this spooky, abandoned well, laid the fingers of the metal witch. One by one they started shaking and moving towards a drain pipe, that led into the kitchen.

The metal parts were zooming through the pipes, getting magnetised to the other mothers power. The pipes clanged with the metal and did annoy most of the guests, especially Miss Forcible.

"What is that unbelievable racket!? It sounds like Mirriam in the shower!" Explained Miss Forcible.

Miss Spink did definitely not enjoy that comment. But the laughing eventually stopped, when the metal stopped clanging. It crawled through the tap and flew into the door. But grabbed the key during the process...

-4 Months Later-

As Coraline just finished for summer holidays, she wanted another look at the door, this thought had been on her mind for too long. It was time. As she came close to the little door, she realised it was just her. Alone in the house. The door opened much easier, but she saw that there were more scratches on the door than before. Did this mean that The Other Mother was trying to escape? Or was she trying to capture Coraline?

As Coraline couldn't find the key anywhere, she saw through the keyhole, to find it in the tube, which had suddenly reappeared...
The door was open, and she crawled through, so silent you could hear a pin drop. But suddenly, she realised this was a trap. She tried to turn but she ended up in the hexagon room in the other house... She could hear the same humming again, and she couldn't see the door anywhere!

Back at her real house, Coraline's parents had just returned from the local shopping centre, to find that Coraline was nowhere to be seen. The terrifying thoughts that haunted the parents could be seen by the other mother. As she cackled vigorously, Coraline knew where she was. She knew that this time, the other mother couldn't let her out of her sight. But Coraline knew the other mother didn't know that she had entered this world.

Coraline's real mother and father eventually came to the hexagon room, to find the door was open. They had to get her back, they felt extremely guilty as they didn't believe her. It had been 8 days since Coraline went missing, and still, no sign.
The real parents couldn't get into the open door, as there was a forcefield, nevertheless, they had knocked the top of the door off which broke the forcefield, they could save Coraline!

For the 8 full days of being terrifyingly frightened, Coraline had realised that the Other Mother was playing a game of hide and seek with her. But of course, in an 'if you're caught, you're getting buttons sewed into your eyes' way.
She ended up in the hexagon room, and saw that the door was back. But the other mother was walking through the hallway of this abandoned house, Coraline had to go, fast. As soon as she opened the door, she saw her parents, and screamed -
"Mum! Help!"
"Coraline! Come here quick!" Shouted Coraline's father.
Suddenly, the door to Coraline's hexagon room closed. And the other mother peeked through the door.
"Ah-ha! You are all so pathetic!" She explained.
"Leave us alone! You should be dead!" Replied Coraline
"Well, you should've thought about where you could've hidden my hand! Hahaha!" Said The Other Mother, with an evil laugh.

The metal hand all connected up onto the bony wrist, covered with cobwebs from the time she attempted to enter Coraline's world. The twisted other mother vanished the family of three into a room, slightly bigger than the hexagon room, with strapped chairs and sewing equipment. Coraline's dad kept straining and straining, as he was in a strapped chair, trapped. As well as Coraline's mother, but Coraline was on the sewing table.

As the other mother walked through, she announced with an evil tone -
" Ladies and gentleman... Please do give us a big cheer for the sewing of Coraline Jones' eyes, and the death of her puny parents. We're in for a fun night!"

Coraline had a glimpse of a button at the bottom of the table, could this be a chance of getting free from her clutches? She had to try. After all, would Coraline want button eyes and her parents to die? Of course not!

As she saw some sharp looking scissors hanging off another table directly above the button, her foot could just reach it, so she could escape! Her foot moved closer and closer towards the scissors, and as the tip of the shoe finally reached the scissors, the metal claw surrounding her ankle buried into her skin. The blood dripped down like rain, but the scissors were a priority, she could sort out the cut later.

As she was millimetres away, she used all of her force for one last push and the scissors fell, hitting the button, with enough weight to push it down. The metal claws sprung open and Coraline was set free! She had to save her parents and kill the Belldown. As Coraline save her mother, they both were saving the father from The Other Mother's clutches. The Other Mother suddenly came through the door and screamed:
" Sit down you cheating brat! You won't escape EVER AGAIN!"
She had found a knife on the wall and grabbed it as soon as Coraline's father was saved. The Belldown threw the knife directly at Coraline, but her father intervened.

"CHARLIE, NO!" Coraline's mother screamed. As she saw the other mother, she ran at her, as The Other Mother was harmless,
grabbed the sharp scissors and impaled the witch through the face, she had cut her in half. Instead of red blood, she had orange, she wasn't human, but now she wasn't alive.
" You.. B.. Bitch" Said The Other Mother, dying slowly.
The world around the family of 3 started vanishing, so Coraline and her mother ran through the door with the father. They had to rush him to hospital.

The wound was operated on, tested on, it was too deep for a recovery, Coraline's father, had died. Eventually, the family of 2 had moved into a small cottage in the countryside of the UK and the pink palace was soon demolished, no more Belldown, but no more Charlie Jones.
