I was only a baby when I was brought to the Little Angels Orphanage. My parents were not able to take care of me because they were only teenagers. So my parents talked to a woman named Sister Mary. Sister Mary pledged that she would take the best care of me for the two parents and that's what she did. She encouraged me to be good in school, be polite, respectful, and always helpful. But when I was thirteen Sister Mary became very sick and could not help out in the orphanage anymore.
I took care of Sister Mary until she finally died when I was sixteen. After Sister Mary's death I was crying for weeks, probably a whole month. But after a couple months later I started to see things in her room and was having horrible nightmares. Each night it was something worst. One day when I was getting ready for school, I dressed very beautiful and was stunning. I went to Sister Mary's old room and picked up a spray bottle. The bottle read Hatred and Evil.
I figured that it was a perfume and sprayed it all over me. I then felt a little light headed and almost fell. Then I went to the kitchen to eat breakfast. When I left my house after breakfast and went to my bus stop, I saw my crush. Thomas Begley, my crush, the most popular guy in school and he played football too. Everyone on the bus was either quiet or loud.
"Hey Bentley, think fast!" Thomas said to one of his friends. WHAM! A football hit me in the back of my head. "Oops, sorry, I usually have good aim." Thomas said sincerely. "It's fine; it's no big deal. It didn't hurt." I responded back. "No, let me do something for you.......wanna go out to dinner with me?" Thomas asked. I didn't expect the most popular kid to go out to dinner with me. I didn't want to seem like I liked him so I just said," Sure." "What day and time?" Thomas asked. "How about Friday at 8:00 pm?" I said. "Sure, that's great!" Thomas replied.
For the rest of the day I was very happy. Friday is just only two days away. I never had a boyfriend and never went on a dinner date. I went to go tell my friend Crystal. "Do you think he likes you or feels bad for you?" Crystal said. "I am not sure." I responded back. Then I started to think, "Does he like me or did he feel bad for me?"
Crystal and I started to head to the cafeteria to get some lunch. I always didn't like the school lunch, it was so gross. When Crystal and I finally got to the cafeteria, I saw my other friends: Nick, Wilfredo, Sarah, Caroline, Jim, and Franklin. We all went to elementary school together, and we were friends since.
But when I was in the lunch line with them, I fainted. "Whoa, help Tammy up, I think she fainted," Wilfredo shouted. "Let's take her to the nurse," Sarah added on. Everyone agreed and helped me up from the floor and took me to the nurse. The nurse was very religious and she knew a lot of spiritual things. She even claimed that she could she see spirits.
"Um, excuse me nurse can you see what's wrong with Tammy, she has seemed like she fainted." Franklin explained. "No, no, no, please get her out, we are not safe with her around that girl!" the nurse screamed. "I don't know what you're talking abo--," Jim answered. "Please just get out!" The nurse didn't let him finish.
Then all my friends exited the room with Nick carrying me on his back, limp. Crystal called my orphanage and one of the sisters came to dismiss me. After school was over all my friends came over to check on me. "Hey, I wonder what happened at school?" Caroline asked. I answered," I think I fainted ate something rotten for breakfast or maybe I got food poisoning?" "Maybe," said Wilfredo. "I brought some soup, if you're hungry," Franklin chimed in. "Ooo, thank you Frank," I told Franklin.
I then grabbed the bowl of soup and believe me it was delicious. But when I eat the soup I had a horrible stomach ache. I fainted again. "Oh no it happened again, we should take her to the hospital." Wilfredo exclaimed. Crystal called one of the sisters up and one of them came running up the stairs and asked what had happened. Sarah told her and she drove us to the hospital. Once we got there we had to wait half-an-hour to actually get inside a hospital room, while I was still unconscious.
Two hours later, my friends leave because it's pretty late and they have to go to school tomorrow. I was sleeping the whole time they were there. I think I'm in a coma, because I have been sleeping for twenty hours straight. While I was sleeping I was having dreams of my parents giving me away to Sister Mary. But at the end of the dream I finally woke up because I saw something terrifying. It looked dark and misty and was hovering over the ground. When I finally woke from my minor coma, I noticed that no one was in the room with me.
I figured that everyone left to get sleep at home, but when I looked out the room, no one was there either. I went back to the bed and pressed the nurse station button and waited a couple minutes. No one came. I looked back outside the room and I saw the dark, misty, floating figure from my dream. I knew I wasn't safe with that thing, but then I noticed something. The dark figure was holding a bottle, it was the bottle I sprayed on myself. The figure then came to me with open arms, as it was welcoming me.
