New blood

As the sergeant entered the room along with three other rookies behind him everybody watched thoroughly. As they sat down sergeant Grey asked them to introduce themselves. One of the rookies stood up, she had dark brown hair with kind brown eyes. " Hello my name is Lucy Chen " she stuttered and looked down at the ground. Afterwards a young man stood up, he said " My name is Jackson West and I'm very glad to be here " Jackson seemed to be that kind of person who has a kind soul and never bothered to hurt anybody. Lastly an older man stood up and said " My name is John Nolan and I'm very excited to start a new chapter in my life. I thought to myself hoping that I wouldn't get him as my trainee, he just seemed to kind to become a real cop. " Okay people now It's time to reveal what training officer will get new rookies " Grey said with a harsh voice. " Officer Tim Bradford will get Lucy Chen the trainee who managed to get the first arrest before her shift even started. " Tim looked at her like he didn't even care about the arrest she had done. Just a simple straight face. " Angela Lopez you got Jackson West who broke his father records at the academy. " Apparently Jackson had prepared to be a cop his whole entire life. I looked at him with a slight smile hoping he wouldn't be a pain in my ass the whole shift. " Last but not least John Nolan the guy who was born before Discon dog, you get Talia Bishop. " Honestly Talia never looked this upset but I'm still glad that I don't have to deal with him.

As I left the room with my new trainee I didn't bothered to introduce myself he'll just find it out himself. We went outside because I had to explain how the shop works. I said " This is a shop do NOT call it car, this is where you work. " as I showed him around the car. " We have police tape, cones and spike strips. " Jackson said trying to impress me. " Making my job easy officer West? " I looked at him dead in the eye. I had to show him I was the boss and that he shouldn't disrespect me. I was committed to become a detective and nothing would stop me so I have to prove myself to the others. Even to the rookie, maybe he could put in a few good words about me to his father Commander Percy West.

I drove into this big mansions pathway and knocked on the door " LAPD open the door. " A woman in a rope rushed down the stairs. " M'am we got a call about a possible burglary. " The woman denied that she had called anyone. I heard somebody on the roof. " Boot, watch her " I said to Jackson as I walked away. Another woman was crawling on as she tried to get down. " Hi LAP.." She fell down. Ouch, that had to hurt. We arrested them both and took them to the station.

Finally it was lunch, we drove to a nearby food truck and ate. I made the Boot buy me some lunch, He wasn't that bad after all. " How's your day going Angela? I saved a kid, probably going to make the paper tomorrow. " Talia said with a smirk. " You're so cute trying to get under my skin. " I smiled and tilted my head slightly as I took a bite of my food. " Let's go boot " I said to Jackson and waved my hand towards myself.
