Jungkook sprinted after Lia, determined to locate her, but a firm grip on his arm stopped him in his tracks. He turned, his gaze narrowed, trying to see who had grabbed him.
Namjoon pulled Jungkook closer, his voice a whisper in his ear. "We have to close a crucial deal right now!" he said, his tone severe and urgent.
Jungkook's focus shifted to Namjoon, and he was momentarily torn between his worry for Lia and the business matter at hand.
He sighed deeply, his shoulders slumping, his voice tinged with weariness. "Hyung," he started, his protest clear. "But you know I'm not part of all this anymore."
Before he could say more, Namjoon interrupted, gently guiding him into a separate room where Jin was already seated, anticipation evident in the air. Once they were all inside, Namjoon closed the door behind them, sealing off the conversation from the outside world.
"Jungkook," Jin sighed heavily, his eyes locking with Jungkook's. "I understand you're worried about her, but we need your full attention on the deal."
Namjoon glanced at Jin and raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Jungkook's sudden change in behavior. His curiosity was evident, and he asked, "Worried about who?"
Jungkook hastily dismissed, trying to appear nonchalant. He replied, "It's nothing!" Can you both explain what happened and why you need my help when you know I'm no longer involved?" he questioned.
A while back, Taehyung and Jimin were involved in a deal, and something unexpected occurred that shouldn't have happened. Namjoon explained.
Jungkook, still visibly distracted, crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, showing his lack of interest in the situation. He retorted, "Why are you telling me all this? What do I have to do with Taehyung and his business?"
Jin, seeing Namjoon hesitate, spoke up. His voice was solemn as he revealed the gravity of the situation. "Taehyung killed the Italian mafia Don Alessio's little brother with several bullets," he said. "And now his life is in danger.
Namjoon chimed in, " We all know you've got the skills to handle this, and nobody else can take on this responsibility like you can." And we can't spill this to Taehyung or Jimin; they'll jump into action and hand Alessio the chance to take them out.
It's not just Taehyung in danger; anyone near him, like Jimin or our crew, could end up dead. Jungkook, we need to act fast before it's too late, Jin said, his tone heavy with urgency.
I get it, Hyung and Namjoon; this is no joke, but I've walked away from all this, and I'm not looking back. Taehyung's not a kid anymore; he needs to watch his step.
Jungkook was done with the drama, standing there, ready to bolt. "Just please don't drag me into this mess," he shot at Namjoon. "You were right; backing Taehyung was a mistake," he muttered before striding out.
Namjoon's voice held a terse edge as he clenched his jaw, his worry palpable. "I hope the history between these two won't repeat itself
Jungkook was looking for that girl?" Wasn't he? He asked Jin, his voice carrying concern and a hint of frustration.
Jin sighed as he met Namjoon's gaze and replied, " Joon! We have more important matters to address, and since Jungkook doesn't want to cooperate, we'll have to handle this on our own.
If we don't intervene," he began, his concern evident. "Alessio will kill Taehyung very cruelly.
Lia sat alone in the corner of her room, drawing her knees up against her chest. She held herself tightly, the disgust and discomfort of Taehyung's unacceptable behavior still weighing heavily on her mind. Her eyes were red from crying, and her head was spinning from the unexpected and distressing incident.
