Annabelle
After a long day of work, I came back to see Adam laying on the couch. Again. I angrily woke him up, asking if he got the bread. He didn't. I checked the fridge to see if he ever got what I asked him to get. No milk, no bread, no eggs, nothing.
I went upstairs and called my brother, I had enough. Realising how unhappy I was the entirety of my marriage, I took a bag, put my clothes, my jewellery, and a pocket watch in. I angrily got out the divorce papers I prepared for myself out of spite months ago.
Ten minutes later, I came back with divorce papers and slammed them on the table. Adam reluctantly signed, shooting angry looks at Me. "Fuck you, Anne" he said. I felt the anger boil over. "I work until 5.am every night to put food on the table, that bitch doesn't even try" I Thought.
I left, teary eyed to my brothers house with the longest twenty minutes I had ever experienced. As I passed town centre I saw a sign we wrote five years ago saying "Anne + Adam Forever" I took a marker and changed the sign.
"Anne + Adam Forever Gone"
I went to my brother, Joshua's house to sleep for the night. It was a large manor, that is for two people. I always kept keys to his house, so went I straight to the guest bedroom. I couldn't sleep, I tossed and turned until I needed water. I checked the clock, "shit it's 9 a.m." I thought. Work is in three hours. That somehow made me fall asleep. Forever.
