Chapter 15: Marnie vs Kalos

Today was Marnie's birthday, and she had just gotten her gifts. Ash had given her a Mega Ring with a mega stone for Lavitar. Bonnie gave Marnie a recipe book, written on the front "for you know who". Marnie glared at Bonnie for that one, but she quietly thanked her.

Bonnie:  (whispers)  I wanna meet this Piers fellow.  

Piers gave her a box, with a note attached stating "I gave Ash a shiny, I think you deserve one too". In the box was a machine. This machine was almost impossible to find, as it was almost impossible to make. This machine was a one-use way to make a pokemon shiny. It was a new technology, only made last year, but the odds of having one are worse than shiny odds. The new tech was made by Rose and Professor Juniper.

The technology was simple in retrospect. The machine was a DNA changer, changing a pokemon's DNA to be shiny. It was one use because then the machine could only be used on that pokemon again, so it was considered useless. The materials to make it were almost impossible to find, you needed tera crystals, master ball parts, and the DNA of a legendary pokemon.

Marnie decided to use this once in a lifetime gift on Mogrem. The pokemon became shiny right in front of her eyes, a look of shock on the once normal pokemons face. Piers, as usual, also had to come with a joke, on the back of the note "Thanks for not making me an uncle. Marriage is on the table, he'd be a killer brother-in-law."  

While they were on the road, Reaper, Liloone, Morpeko, and Pawniard were walking outside their balls. Fletchinder, Aqua and Gimmighoul on his back, were flying around. Ash had Marnie on his back, as he refused to let her walk. Bonnie was taking plenty of pictures.  The older girl was hiding her face, trying to make sure she wasn't leaning into Ash too much.  

Bonnie: Uh guys, does something smell..ashy to you?  (Ash snickers)

Marnie:  Shut up Ash. 

Ash: That probably has to do with the massive wave of smoke in the air.

Marnie: Should we go help?

Ash: Fine. Aqua, go. Follow Croc.

Marnie: Larvitar, follow them.

Killer Croc poked his head out of the ground. He went back to digging towards the source. Froakie, Lavitar, and Lilioone jumped into the hole, following closely behind.  The trainers took their time heading there, their pokemon could easily handle a fire without them.

Reaper, Pawniard, Morpeko, and Gimmighoul stayed behind with their trainers, talking among themselves.  Bonies stayed behind as well, staying low to the ground. 

Marnie: What are they saying Ash?

Ash: You don't wanna know.

Reaper: I'm just saying that if our masters get together-

Morpeko: Wrong, when they get together.

Pawinard: I agree, they are destined for one another.

Gimmighoul: Did-d-d y-yo-u-u for-rgo-o-o-t-t A-s-s-h-h ca-n-n h-e-ea-a-r-r- us-s-s?

Reaper: I wonder. When they get together, will their offspring have masters powers?

Fletchlinder:  Of course.  But better question, how will they mate?

Floette:  We don't even know what Master Ash is!  What if he's secretly a pokemon!  

Reaper:  Incorrect, Master does have the body of a human.   Excalibur told us- (Ash backhands him)

Ash: Stop talking.

Marnie: W-what are they talking about?

Bonnie: By the way he's reacting, most likely about you to. And he's a blushing mess, so about you twos relationship in a positive way. Maybe your kids in a mix, add a hint of marriage, and a dash of embarrassed Ash.
