Kelly went looking for her old friend, Cesare. She worked at an ALF, so if she knew anything about older folks, she knew that sometimes, they just needed an open ear. She knew everything about him: he was a widower with three children who only cared about his death because of the inheritance they would get, not because he was their father. Little did she know what that inheritance was.

Two tall men came to the park bench she was sitting at and they looked like Secret Service agents but they were looking directly at her.
“Kelly Boone?”
“Who wants to know?”
“We work for Cesare Villanueva, could you please come with us?”
“Where are you taking me?”
“Mr Villanueva is dead and he mentioned you in his will. We need you to come to it's reading.”
“All right, let's go.”

She was put in the back of a stretch limo and she cried on the way there. She knew that the cancer was progressing and that he didn't have much time left, and even their time spent together had gotten shorter and shorter. But she felt like she was losing her grandfather all over again.

She arrived at an extravagant mansion, a dark yellow Cape Cod with brown accents and a mahogany door. She stared in awe as she said,
“You've got to to be kidding me. He was rich?” Kelly asked.
The car door was opened by one of the security guards and the other offered his hand and she took it, feeling like the princess she always dreamed of being. Little did she know that the honor she would get was way bigger than that.

Leon Villanueva was sitting in a leather chair with his business suit, his brother Mariano was standing off to the side with his hands in the pockets of his dark jeans, his arms adorned with an open leather jacket and a silk shirt underneath slightly unbuttoned to reveal his hairy chest.

“This is the peasant dad mentioned? I bet she'll just get a billion and be on her merry way.” said Leon.
“Well, that certainly would change my life, don't cha think?” Kelly snapped back.
“Hey, bro, lay offa her, will ya? Apparently she was important enough to Dad that he wants to bequeath her with something.” said Mariano.

A young woman walked out into the sitting room and said,
“The lawyer says that if the girl's here, he's ready to start.” she said, going back to the meeting room in a huff.
“Don't mind Erin, she's the youngest, so she's not gonna get much. I'm Mariano, this is the eldest brother, so he's probably gonna get everything. His name's Leon.”
Leon was clean shaven and well dressed, while Mariano had a 5 o'clock shadow and messy hair.

“Well, it's nice to meet you. Kelly Boone, I'm sorry it's not as fancy as your last name.”
“No, I think it's a funny coincidence. Boons are a type of gift, and you're getting a gift.”
said Leon, as he sniffed a cigar.
“Yeah, a real knee slapper.” Kelly said sarcastically.”
Leon stood up and walked to her and backed her into the door.
“Don't backtalk me, little lady.” he said.
She unbuttoned a holster to reveal that she had mace.
“I'm from Brooklyn, don't fuck with me.”
“Hey, Leon, we should get going. We don't wanna keep Mr. Ghilardi waiting.”
Said Mariano.
Armando rolled his eyes as he backed away and followed his brother. Kelly followed suit.

She took a closer look at Erin. Erin was dressed in a gothic garb, she wasn't just in a black dress, she had black acrylic nails, black lipstick and black eyeshadow. She looked like she was done with it all. Her hair looked like it was purposefully cut unevenly, with sharp ends. It curled at the end, but otherwise, it was straight. She was the most interesting sibling. Kelly got a pen and a small notebook out of her purse and started writing something. Armando tried to peek at what she was writing but she slapped his hand. The lawyer tapped a ruler on the table.
“Children, please pay attention. Ms. Boone, how old are you? I want to do it from the oldest to the youngest.”
“Um, 25.” she said, not knowing the significance.
“Leon, I leave you my summer home in Miami. May you enjoy it all year round.” said Ghilardi.
“There's more than that, right? There's gotta be!” Leon yelled, slamming his fist on the table.
“Mariano, I leave you all of my vintage arcade games. I know they mean the most to you and no one will ever beat your high score, except Erin in Ms. Pacman, which I leave her. I also leave her my two bodyguards, Sinistra and Destra. Lord knows she's gonna need them.”
Erin rolled her eyes.
“To Kelly Boone, even though she's not family, she gave me one thing that my family didn't: a listening ear. For that, I always wondered how I could repay her. Then, I decided that the perfect way was to bequeath her with my empire. And two of my other guards, Armando and Cecelio.
