Chapter 1 Stranger or a Friend..?

((After the explosion))
Danielle's POV:
I woke up in ashes and I looked at everything around me when I saw fire and smoke and ashes everywhere. I got up and held my head. "What happened here?" I said to myself "Wait... where exactly is here?" I got up and shoved all the ashes off of my clothes.

I saw a hill not that far from where I was standing and smoke was coming from behind it. I runned to the top to see a burning city and buildings in ashes. My eyes widened "Who could of done this?" I said looking at what was destroyed. I could tell that no one was alive I saw body's floating in the water and burnt body's on the ground below me.

I looked around for a safe way to get to the burning city, I saw a bridge not too far from where I was, it was broken but it reached across to the city safely at least I think safely. "That's my only chance" I say and start walking, I had a plan step number 1 find a good place to stay that won't get you on fire step 2 find food and supplies and step 3 make weapons. Cause I know sometimes you can't trust people.

I got to the entry of the bridge and it looked not too safe to walk over but it was the only chance I could get there. I took my first step on the bride trying to be careful so I don't fall in the water, I can't swim and if I fall there's a good chance I won't come back up. I kept walking and before I knew it I got to the other side. I sighed in relief.

"Now to find shelter, food and maybe.. someone to help me remember what happened" I said. I walked around looking at the ashes and the body's and the buildings everywhere. I found a backpack which was good and I found a flashlight, some apples and arrows but no bow. I looked around and saw the bow but it burnt from the fire. "God damn it!" I said angry, I was pretty good with a bow or at least I think I am. I kept looking around for hours and so far I didn't find good shelter or even weapons all I got were arrows. I found more food and a couple bottles of water.

I found a store at the edge of the city and it looked like a good place to find a first aid kit, I was bleeding from a cut on my face and a few cuts here and there but I managed to stop the bleeding. I still needed a couple other things though. I looked around and found a couple first aid kits. Perfect!

I found more food and a couple more water bottles and I also got some rope, a couple blanket, matches, a sleeping bag and even a bow. I'm lucky aren't I. Too bad I couldn't find any survivors it's sad to think that maybe the whole human race is gone for good. "Now all I need is a good place" I said.

~Time Skip~

I kept looking for hours for a good place but I found nothing and it was becoming dark soon. I got hungry so I took out the bag of chips I found at that store and started to eat them. After a while I got tired and sat down and built a fire to keep warm sense it was about night time. I layed out my sleeping bag and layed down on it looking up at the sky. Wondering what happened... and if I could remember who I am or anything. I heard a noise far off in the distance and I was startled, I quickly gathered up all my stuff and started to run. I didn't know where I was going but it sure wasn't back there.

I kept running but I started to get tired and I fell to the ground onto the ashes of the grass and flowers, I coughed and then saw something looking at me.. I couldn't tell if my eyes were playing tricks on me but it looked like someone was looking at me.

The figure had Gold looking eyes and from what I could tell it was a human being. I couldn't move my leg must of broken when I fell, I didn't know if this person was a friend or an enemy. I kept still then the figure started to walk away I sighed in relief then got up, I was so tired I had to sleep. I went up the tallest tree I could find and stayed in it that night I wrapped my leg up and then went to sleep today was a weird day... but at least I know my name.
