Despite their conversation from the night prior showing their close relationship Charlotte still felt awkward potentially having to run into him after it. Everything had gone perfectly but she was still nervous that somehow he'd see through her and find her weird for something she can't really control. That being her feelings. She let herself feel things she never thought she would have.

Most of the day she stayed put in her office, only leaving when she absolutely had to. Earlier she left a note on her door asking that she be left alone, which has helped lessen the knocks she'd get on her door.

Yeah it may be an overreaction but everyone does weird things once they realize their feelings towards someone. It's even weirder to have that someone work with you. Sometimes she finds herself wondering if this is even a thing she should pursue.

Charlotte grabs her phone to text Zoey when she notices she's got a few texts from Spencer. She quickly clears those away not wanting to have to deal with the embarrassment of explaining what's going on with her. She opens Zoey's messages sending her a short text asking if they could eat lunch together to which she got a simple thumbs up.

"So. You're telling me he asked you out to the party we're having for thanksgiving and now you're avoiding him like the plague?" Zoey asks, confused by the situation her friend has gotten herself into.

"Precisely that. I just know I acted too weird when I said yes so now I'm afraid he already knows and thinks i'm weird or something. I know i'm overthinking but I can't help it." Charlotte rambles on.

"I think you're completely okay to feel how you feel, but you should probably talk to him still. I doubt he saw anything different about your response because that was just a you text! He probably thinks he's the one who did something wrong, Char." She advises.

"He hasn't come by my office even though he definitely would ignore the note on my door to do so."

"Well you have been ignoring his texts so that plus the note on your door is definitely giving him the hint that you do not want to be talked to. You have to be the one to speak up."

"Ugh, my worst fear. Should I do it now? Just so it's like not obvious something is going on between us to the rest of everyone? Because I'm pretty sure they notice the amount of time we spend around one another."

"I'd say the earlier the better but don't rush yourself either. Do it when it feels right." She sends  a soft smile to Charlotte.

"Gosh, I do not know where I'd be without you. You are the best, I love you Zo." She grabs her hands and wraps them in hers at the center of the table.

"Mhm. Leave it to the lesbian to give a hetero relationship advice. I love you too Char." She says in a sarcastic tone.

Immediately retracting her hands to her lap she pretends to be offended for a second before bursting out in laughter. After settling back down she replies, "I guess I'll text you later tonight after I text him just so you know I did it and that this wasn't for nothing."

"Oh yay! I get to deal with this at home too. Is there someone else you can go to?" She jokes.

"You know you're loving every minute of this don't try and play that way."
