Chapter four- daddy

One sunny afternoon, the three of them were in the park, enjoying a picnic. Charlotte was running around, playing with a ball, while Michaela and Zeke watched her with smiles on their faces.

Suddenly, Charlotte tripped and fell. She looked up, a bit startled, and then called out, "Daddy, help!"

Zeke's heart skipped a beat. He rushed over to her, scooping her up into his arms. "Are you okay, sweetheart?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

Charlotte nodded, wrapping her small arms around his neck. "I'm okay, Daddy."

Michaela walked over, her eyes shining with happiness. She placed a hand on Zeke's shoulder and gave him a knowing smile. "See? I told you it would happen."

Zeke looked at Michaela, his eyes brimming with tears of joy. "You were right," he said, his voice choked with emotion. "She called me 'Daddy'."

Michaela hugged them both, feeling the warmth of their growing family. "I knew she would. She loves you, Zeke. We're all in this together."

Zeke held Charlotte close, feeling a deep sense of fulfillment. "Thank you, Michaela. I couldn't have done this without you."

Michaela smiled, her heart full. "We're a team, Zeke. And Charlotte is lucky to have you as her daddy."After that special moment in the park, Michaela decided to make the day even more memorable. She called her brother Ben and his wife Grace, inviting them and their two kids, Cal and Olive, over for a family dinner.

That evening, the house was filled with laughter and joy as everyone gathered around the table. Charlotte proudly shared her story of calling Zeke "Daddy," and Ben and Grace couldn't have been happier for them. Cal and Olive played with Charlotte, making her feel even more loved and included.

The dinner was a feast, with everyone's favorite dishes, and the night ended with a cozy movie marathon. It was a perfect celebration of family and the beautiful bond they all shared.
