"Ahjumma! Jebal!" I pleaded, with my hands filled with my suitcases and next to me were about 6 or 8 other boxes. "Why are you kicking me out, anyway?! I did pay the rent, right?!"

"I'm sorry, Ms. Lee," my landlady said, with a sympathetic tone. Well, I must be wrong right? Who would be sympathetic when you already kicked out one of your innocent clients?! "But, there has been a couple who has offered a more...satisfying price then what you're paying for your apartment."

"Then why didn't you notify me 1 month prior or something?!" I screamed. I know it might have seemed rude, screaming at your elders and whatnot, but this was actually way over the line of unexpected.

"Oh my, I think I forgot? Well, nothing to do about that now, it's already too late. The couple is starting the move tomorrow so, I can't back out now."

"Ugh," I groaned. I ran a hand through my hair and messed it up a tad.

"Well, thank you for using my services, up until today, Ms. Lee Min Ra, but sadly, this is farewell," with that, she slammed the door unmercifully in my face.

"If it's sad and if you actually did feel sympathy towards me, maybe you could've just let me live here," I muttered to myself as I dug through my duffel bag.

My name is Lee Min Ra, I'm 18 and I'm graduating in 2 months. I go to Sun & Moon Academy, a prestigious High School in Seoul, I major in Dance and Singing. Well, more on the dance side, singing is just a side hobby and I side subject I have. I'm an adopted child, and my parents are back in China. My original parents lived there because of my dad's work, and we immigrated from L.A, my hometown. I do remember my original parents, it's just that my Appa died of Alzheimer's and my mother from old age. Just plain as that. No sob story, it was just natural.

Right now, I live off the money my parents left me and my part-time job, a barista in a cozy little cafe, about 10 minutes away from my ex-apartment that I just got kicked out of. Well, I better call my cousin.

The only relative I had, and my only option, Kim Tae Young. He's 28, and a manger of some popular boy group. His widowed mother, my aunt, died 12 years ago. Back then, he wasn't allowed to take me in, so I just got adopted. Tae Young was taken in by a close family friend, but got a job when he has 22 as a scout for a company named S.M Entertainment. He slowly got promoted and ended up as a manager.

I got out my worn out floppy phone (it was all I could afford) no dialled in his number.

"Yeoboseyo? Min Ra?" He spoke into the phone, as I got out my wallet and counted my money. Just in case.

"Annyeong, Tae Young-Oppa!" I greeted him brightly.

"Oh? Minnie? What do you need?" He started with an unsure tone. "You don't usually call me without a reason, is there something that's bothering you or do you need something? C'mon, tell me,"

I felt a little guilty, since he was right. Man, I really need to stop depending on him. "Um, yeah, I got kicked out of my apartment. Yeah. Don't ask. I kinda need some help right now,"

"Hm? Aish...jakkaman," he said before I heard some shouting. "Where are you right now? Actually, come and meet me by the police station and I'll come to get you, ok?"

"Ah, kombawayo," I thanked him as he hung up.

Where would I be without Tae Young, hm?
