"Think I'm gonna call it off,"

A week had passed and Vega was currently making themself lunch, trying not to think about their ex partner.

"It's fine.. I should probably talk to Honeylynn again.. She always makes me feel better especially about these things.."

"Her advice the last time I asked was not to go to Astrid and to not entertain them any longer.."

Vega quietly sighed and mutter underneath their breath;

"If only it was that easy..."

"Even if you call it love,"

Vega turned off the stove and carried the pan over to the counter, carefully pouring the hash browns onto their plate, that already had eggs set aside.

"But.. what if they come back?.. I don't want to stop loving them.. I know it sounds delusional, but what is they miss me and come back telling me how much they love me?.."

These hypothetical thoughts and scenarios started to play out in Vega's mind, making them be overcome with an overwhelming sadness and frustration.

"It's not going to happen!.. it's not going to.. it didn't happen like that last time either.. Stop being delusional.."

"I just wanna love someone who calls me "baby","

Vega started to clean up the mess they made, grabbing their plate afterwards and heading into the livingroom. Sitting down on the couch and turning on the TV, they started to quietly eat, only for moments late to be interrupted by their curious feline companion to jump onto the couch and try to smell their food.

Vega looked down at her and huffed.

"You idiot! Get away! If you want to eat you already have food! Don't make me spray you!"

They gently pushed her away.

"Greedy."

They went quiet again. Several thoughts starting to pop back up in their head.

"I wish I was called sweet names all the time.. Don't people know how much others love that? It's like instant serotonin! I wonder if that's how animals feel too when we give them nicknames like "pretty girl" or "handsome boy"."

Vega shrugged and sighed.

"Whatever the case.. I just want to be called somebody's "baby" or "sweetheart".."
