H O P E: Young Justice

01: Independace Day

Star City, 7 AM.

Hell was being raised by a being beyond the cosmos, Atrocitous, whose blood red constructs of evil rain terror.

"Burn with all of your hellish hate!" His demonic voice echoed though the town square, he constructs a massive boulder to crush a family. He hurls it and before it can crush them, a pair of blue and green gloves catch the rock. A pair of lights arrive in time.

Green Lantern and his Sidekick, the Blue Lantern.

"Let's make this short okay?" Blue smiled at Green, who shrugged. "Let's see you do the work then." He replied, they crush the boulder and Atrocitus fires his hellspawn bile at them, Blue Forms a shield to block it, green constructs a baseball bat the size of a light pole and swings for the fences, knocking the Red Lantern into the sky.

"Ninth Inning! Last chance to clear the base!" Green says to himself as he watches blue take aim with his ring, a swirling echo of light engulfs him.

"In fearful day, in raging night, With strong hearts full, our souls ignite, When all seems lost in the War of Light, Look to the stars, for hope burns bright!!" He constructs a cannon and fires a beam of Hope fueled energy at atrocious, blasting him straight into the atmosphere and out of earths orbit. Even Hal was surprised at his power.

"You really gave him a bruise with that one." He and Blue fly away, blue turned to him with an impatient smirk. "Of course! Today is the Day..."

"Today's the day. Welcome to the Hall of Justice." Batman was the one to begin introductions. Accompanied by Aquaman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow, they give their sidekicks the welcome. Speedy Robin, Blue Lantern and Aqualad stand in a line, but one was missing.

"Oh, man." A voice zooms to them, Kid Flash and The Flash arrive, being some of the fastest beings in the world you'd expect them to be first.

"I knew we'd be the last ones here." Kid Folds his arms, Blue waves slightly. "Late as always Kid." Blue Waves his friend over and they make their entrance, the Heroes and Sidekicks walk together as pictures and video was taken on their approach to the building.

"Ready to see the inner sanctum?" Green Arrow leans into the ear of Speedy, "Born that way." He said back.

"I'm glad we're all here." Aqualad points out, and Kid agrees

"Have all five sidekicks ever been in the same place at the same time?" He asked, which Irked Speedy

"Don't call us sidekicks. Not after today." He keeps his eyes forward

"Sorry. First time at the Hall. I'm a little overwhelmed." Kid Flash rubs his head.

"You're overwhelmed. Freeze was underwhelmed. Why isn't anyone ever just whelmed?" Robin chimed in, "Because "Whelmed" isn't a word. You can be overwhelmed or underwhelmed. You can whelm, can't be just.. Whelmed." Blue Adds in.

"Bookworm much?" Robin smirked and Blue nods, "When you spend most of your life reading books and studying ancient text on another planet, you pick up on a few things." He replies, he looks to the doors, inside were golden statue of the founding Members of the justice league, which admittedly made Blue feel.. Overwhelmed.

"Oh. Maybe that's why." Robin points out, leading further they reach a large silver door, it opens up to Red Tornado and Martian Manhunter.

"Blue Lantern, Robin, Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash. Welcome." Manhunter turns around and they all follow.

"You now have unlimited access to the gym, our fully-stocked galley...and, of course, our library." Manhunter leads them to a massive common room with chairs and a large black desk for the league to sit in, at the edges, books surround the entire walls.
