It had been two years since Iveline and Kit had left Briarcliff. They were thriving.
Iveline still got the occasional nightmare and worked part time at the diner, Kit still working at the auto shop.
The two had been doing great together, but had yet to get married. Today, Iveline was with Nick.
Iveline smiled at the boy as he waddled around. He was a brilliant child and had walked and talked early.
Iveline belived he was simply a miracle, the creatures had chosen Kit for his empathy, she was sure of it.
"Want some strawberries?" Iveline asked Nick who smiled and clapped.
Iveline walked with him to their strawberry patch, Nick resting on her hip.
"Strawberries!" Nick giggled and Iveline smiled at him.
"Let's get some good ones." Iveline stated, playing him down when they got to the patch. Nick picked a strawberry and handing it to Iveline. "Ooh, yummy."
"Yummy! Yummy!" Nick exclaimed happily as he picked more, Iveline putting each one in their little basket.
"Can Mama have one?" Iveline asked and Nick nodded happily and he grabbed one, shoving it in her mouth. Iveline chuckled as she chewed on it. "Thank you Nicky."
"Dada have some?" He asked and Iveline nodded.
"Yes he will, why don't we head back in a clean these, huh?" Iveline smiled standing up, Nick making grabby hands, indicating he wanted to be picked up.
Iveline chuckled, picking him up and they headed back inside the house.

"Hiya, gorgeous and my little man!" Kit smiled, walking through the door.
"Dada!" Nick cheered, waddling over to Kit with a gigantic grin on his face.
"Hi bud!" Kit stated, picking him up and spinning him round, giving him a big hug.
"How's work?" Nick asked.
"It was good." Kit replied, walking to the Kitchen to greet Iveline who was making chicken and mashed potatoes. "Hello, darling."
"Hi, love." Iveline greeted with a smile, giving a kiss on the lips making Nick giggle. "Work was good?"
"Yes it was." Kit stated. "My day has gotten better now coming home to you both."
"Love you!" Nick cheered as Kit held him.
"I love you Nicky." Kit replied back to his son, he was like Iveline, full of light. "What did you guys do today?"
"We went strawberry picking and done some drawings." Iveline told him, serving up their dinners on a plate, doing a smaller portion for Nick.
"Yummy." Nick muttered as they all sat eating their food.
