DALE'S DEATH impacted the whole group. Lilac stood beside Daryl as the group gathered around where he had been buried while Rick made a speech.
"Whenever I'd make a decision, I'd look at Dale, he'd be looking back at me with that look he had. We've all seen it one time or another. I couldn't always read him, but he could read us. He saw people for who they were. He knew things about us. The truth, who we really are." Rick spoke out to the group, Lilac found herself with a single tear rolling down her cheek.
Daryl noticed , he had been glancing at Lilac the whole time. Daryl wasn't one to comfort, he didn't know what to do in those situations. But with Lilac it almost felt natural to stand a little closer and nudge her arm slightly, letting her know he's beside her.
Lilac didn't know what it meant, neither did Daryl at this point. But they both felt a sense of comfort from eachother, so Lilac smiled at him faintly in appreciation encore turning she attention back towards her brother and the grave of Dale.
"In the end he was talking about us loosing our humanity. He said this group was broken. The best way to honour him is to unbreak it. Set aside our differences and pull together, stop feeling sorry for ourselves and take control of our lives, our safety, our future." He continued , glancing at Lilac as he spoke but her attention flicked between the floor and Daryl.
"We're not broken, we're gonna prove him wrong. From now on, we're gonna do it his way. That is how we honour Dale."

"GONNA BE TIGHT 14 people in one house." Rick spoke to Hershel, nobody felt safe sleeping outside since Dale. "Don't worry about that. With the swamp hardening and the creek drying up.." Hershel started...
"With 50 head of cattle on the property, we might as well be ringing a damn dinner bell." Maggie finished, as the rest of the group began packing up. Lilac found herself packing up the trucks.
While everyone was discussing the plan, she had snuck off into the RV searching for the book she had been reading prior. Inside it had the bookmark that Dale had given her, after a few minutes she finally found it wedged between the seat.
Lilac found herself soaking up the silence, wishing to herself that Dale could walk through the door and joke with her. But she had to realise that he couldn't.
She forced herself up and began making her way out of the RV to continue helping the group. However she was stopped as she almost walked into someone's chest as she was leaving.
"Oh shit I'm so sorry." Lilac spoke out to the figure who appeared to be Daryl. "Yer good, thought I'd find ya in 'ere"
