Triggered or left alone, the big sad reigns
Eternal exhaustion
Homemade heartbreak
Torrential downpour of tears
This chronic cycle persists
Hand over the orange bottle
Knock back one with a glass of water
Blast the mellow melodies
Turn on the ole faithful sob stories
Grab the weighted blanket
Add a pound or two to those limbs of lead
Blank stare into the void
Make sure the door is locked
Answering anyone takes too much energy
So is cleaning up this nest we've created
Pulsating pain in the joints and nausea
Surviving on window sunlight and snacks
Drinking water through a straw lying down
Is a challenge but not impossible
Your happiness doesn't make me bitter
Just a tad jealous, I want that
When the words do form, the tongue fumbles
And I sound meaner than intended
Even the smallest movements are a feat
Come here puppy let me squeeze you
Nap time is all the time
And work? Forget about it
The big sad will pick you up over its head
And John Cena drop you without warning
But get up, dust yourself off and shower
Sun will be out tomorrow and we can try again then
