Chapter 26

"It's time to take action," I finally say.

Amoy turns to me, "what do you mean, take action?"

"I mean it's time to stop this killer... or killers before more indent people get hurt in the process. Enough is enough."

"And how should we start?" Amoy ask me.

"Talking to Jacob. He was a last killer, he will have answers."

"But we can't see him until later this week," Amoy says.

"I'll get Seth to move up the meeting."

"And if he doesn't?" Amoy asks me.

"He will..."

We stand there in silence before she spoke again.

"The killer obviously works for the same people Jacob and Claire worked for. But it still seems they have different motives..." Amoy says.

"Why would you say that?" I ask.

"Jacob and Claire killed at random on whoever they wanted. These new killers seem to be choosing their targets more closely. Ben was a prince, Atlas's parents were rich. Very rich."

"How do you know that?" I turned to her.

"I did some research on him as well as all of the other victims... that we know of. I have a file in my room if you'd like to look at it." Amoy says.

My phone began to ring.

"So we have a plan?" I ask. The phone rings.

"Yes, you talk to Seth and we plan to speak to Jacob." Amoy says.

The phone rings.

I sigh, "Who on Earth needs me what bad?!" I grabbed my phone. It was Vivi. Didn't she have fending practice still?

I answered the phone, "Hello?"

"Lauren! Get to the hospital quick!" Vivi's voice sounded frantic.

"Why?" I ask. "What's wrong?!"

"It's Aren!"  Vivi says. "He was attacked!"

The phone almost dropped from my hand. "I'm on my way."

Before the call even ended I was running to my dorm to grab my jacket.

"What's wrong??" Amoy asks as I begin to call Seth.

"Aren's been attacked and is in the hospital, I'm calling Seth to meet me at the buss station." My voice is shaky.

"I'll come too," Amoy grabs her phone and throws on a jacket also.

I give her a smile of gratitude and  the phone stops ringing.

"Yes?" Seth asks.

"Meet Amoy and I at the bus station. Aren is in the hospital!" I opened the dorm room door. On the ground lay a yellow envelope.

Before Seth could say anything else I ended the call, grabbed the envelope due to already closing the dorm door, and ran down the stairs with Amoy on my tail.

"Lauren...,"Vivi said as soon as I walked into the waiting room. Her voice was slightly horse and her eyes were slightly red.

"Have you heard anything?" I sit on the chair next to her. Amoy sits too but Seth stands and he looks around the hospital waiting room.

"No... thy haven't come back since they took him away..." Vivi's voice shook.

I gave her a hug as a few tears slid down her checks.

"Are Aren's family here?" A doctor walked into the waiting room. Vivi and I immediately stood. "We have news about your brother."

Bum bum bummm!!!!!!!!!
