Introduction to the AU

Howdy!

Before we begin, let me give you this universe's origin story.

A long time ago, there were two gods. They were known as Unicron and Primus. One desired destruction while the other desired creation.

In order to keep the universe balanced, the two divines formed a pact where one would only create while the other only destroyed.

But it would be a pact destined to fail.

It began when Primus the Creator stepped out of line and unintentionally violated the pact. How?

He created 13 beings with the ability to create, learn, grow, flourish, and destroy. Primus called them the 13 Primes.

When Unicron discovered this unintentional betrayal, he was furious. In a fit of rage, he forged the 13 Heralds, beings of immense power to counter the 13 Primes.

Unicron would unleash these Heralds, and a war beteeen the two sides would ensue.

When Unicron is defeated, the Heralds would scatter to the stars. All except for one who would be the first one to die.

This Herald was called Galvatronus, and he was the counterpart to Megatronus. Just like how Megatronus was vital in defeating Unicron (before becoming the fallen), Galvatronus was also vital in Unicron's defeat.

How?

Galvatronus, seeing that his creator had become a mad God, betrayed his fellow Heralds and fought alongside the Primes.

He would end up crippled during the final battle when he used his chaotic and unstable spark to supercharge Megatronus's Requiem Blaster beyond its original capabilities. The energy from his spark on top of its already immense power would banish Unicron's essence into what is known as the In Between.

The in between is what makes space bridges work and where you end up if you get caught in the middle of one.

This sacrifice would leave Galvatronus extremely weak and vulnerable. The other Primes wanted to kill him since he was still classified as a threat, but Megatronus wouldn't allow it.

Why?

Because the two were secretly lovers. I mean, cmon. They were literally MADE for each other.

Anyway.

Megatronus would be by Galvatronus's side and dote over him (in my universe, Megatronus is like a big scary guard dog with a soft and quiet demeanor). This caused Liege Maximo in particular to become suspicious of Megatronus, and he would often accuse him of being a traitor. This, of course, was far from the truth, but no matter how Galvatronus or Megatronus tried to convince him otherwise, Liege Maximo would refuse.

Over time, the other Primes warmed up to Galvatronus, but Liege Maximo would still remain cold and suspicious.

When he felt like enough was enough, Maximo would confront Megatronus, and a fight between the two would ensue. Galvatronus tried to stop the fight, but Megatronus wouldn't allow his lover to get hurt.

Megatronus would defeat Liege Maximo much to the relief of Megatronus. However, Maximo was not done fighting. While Megatronus's back was turned, Liege Maximo would attempt to attack him with his darts.

Maximo's darts wouldn't reach their target, however.

Instead of penetrating Megatronus and injecting him with a deadly toxin, Galvatronus would jump in front of the darts and take them directly to the spark.

Galvatronus would die in Megatronus's arms and become the first being to experience death.

Enraged at the death of his lover, Megatronus would attack Liege Maximo and kill him with a fury of fists.

When the other Primes learned of Megatronus's deed, instead of listening to him, they sealed him in the in-between to never again walk the living realm.

Fast forward to pre-war Cybertron, and we have a society that is separated into castes under a strict and corrupt regime. The Elite Guard were corrupted cops and the lower caste were seen as weak. The High Caste Senate ruled over them, and one could only describe them as "greedy capitalistic overlords."

Here is where our story full of drama will begin.
