jo suji climbed down the stairs of her house after putting on a minimal amount of makeup on her bare face and brushing through her long hair.
she didn't look her best, but she looked much more presentable than she had once she stepped off the plane earlier that day.
the girl joined her family for dinner with a grin on her face. they complimented their daughter on how much she had grown and how well she was doing.
once she finished dinner, she sat down on her couch with her sister who was completing her uni assignments.
"should i go see them?" chirped suji, earning a nod from her sister. "they ask about you all the time. every once in a while they would come and sit in your room to play all of your board games." somi admitted, making suji smile to herself.
"how's jaehyun been? he hasn't said much to me recently." recently, meaning the last two years. "heojin said that he felt a little betrayed. you promised him a year, and gave him three. every time i see him he tells me he misses you." somi spoke.
"im nervous. what if they are different now?" suji raised her knees up to her chest and propped her head on top of them.
"you're different now, aren't you? doesn't mean you've changed in a bad way. chill, ji." her sister said some wise words.
"damn, i go to america for a little while and suddenly my sister is smart?" she teased, earning a small slap on her shoulder from somi.
"go see heojin first." somi directed her sister, and suji agreed curtly. the young teenager jumped up the stairs to pick up a hoodie to place over the tank top she was wearing with leggings.
she then slipped on her uggs and walked out of the door, walking down to one of the many familiar houses on the street. it felt so beyond refreshing to be back in her home town.
jo suji kept her head down as she traveled the distance to the home. she didn't want to risk ruining the surprise by running into someone.
the girl reached the front doorstep of the home, before placing three knocks onto the door.
